Qantas, Virgin, Qatar called to assist with Israel repatriation flights

There was a behind the scenes piece in the Daily Telegraph today that stated there will be 3 senior captains onboard. It will be carrying enough fuel to do the round trip to TLV and back to LHR. As well as the cabin crew, also onboard are specialist ground crew to board pax, medical personal...

    Linking bookings

Yes you can call and have the bookings linked. For the purpose of managing your booking, it will be invisible to you. They will still be seperate bookings and you won't see linked passengers on each others bookings or be able to do seat selection within the same view etc. It only really makes...

Qantas Call Centre Long Wait Times

Yes it is sent through to a droid/bot for approval which would have been done in this instance. All call centres have the ability to do it - doesn't need to be Hobart, so long as the consultant knows what they are doing. The agent will create a new booking/PNR with your desired flights as...

Invited to participate in a QF Loyalty Virtual Focus group

For feedback specific to Points Club Plus: I'd like to see something done with the Qantas Club membership for tiered members that already have lounge access - i.e. be able to 'gift' the membership to someone else or receive something else to replace it since it's literally no value to anyone...

Invited to participate in a QF Loyalty Virtual Focus group

I got contacted as well and completed the qualification survey but haven't heard anything since although my availability is a bit tight so could only select a couple of the offered timeslots so not sure if that disadvantaged me, or that they just didn't like the answers I provided.

Can anyone remember when the OCT/NOV/DEC DSC offer is normally announced?

The last time they did a DSC promotion around this time of the year was back in 2018. All the subsequent DSCs have been either in February or March.

    Problems attaching images

Just encountered the same issue here trying to upload a ~3MB mage which I have never had any issues with previously. Resized it so it was < 2MB and still got the same error. Not sure if anything has changed in the forum configuration around uploads that could be causing this?

QFF Platinum requesting release of extra Classic Reward seats?

Just an update on this: Noticed this morning that there was still some D availability on SYD-MEL this evening so tried again for 1x U on a few flights. One of them came back approved! Slightly later than I would have hoped for but given the heavy loads today, beggars certainly cannot be...

QFF Platinum requesting release of extra Classic Reward seats?

Tried to get a SYD-MEL 1x U released across a few flights for travel today/tomorrow with a bit of D availability floating around, all declined. To be expected with AFLGF this weekend though...

Qantas Promises to Fix Ongoing Reward Flight Ticketing Failures

rj.com or malaysiaairlines.com will show you the ticket number in MMB. I'd use it cautiously though — whilst it will show you if there is a ticket associated with the booking, it won't show if there are any underlying issues with the ticket itself especially if there have been schedule changes...

Qantas Promises to Fix Ongoing Reward Flight Ticketing Failures

You can't - they enhanced it away a while ago sadly.

Qantas Says COVID Credits Are Refundable

If you want to use your credit to make a flight booking, you need to make that booking by 31st December 2023. Otherwise the only option available to you will be a refund which you can request indefinitely.

When would inflexible changes make commercial sense?

This seems like incorrect advice and perhaps requiring HUACA. In the case of irrops/cancellations -- the call centre definitely has the ability to move you to another flight regardless of whether there is CR availability or not. This has been my experience with all call centres, not just Hobart...

Just saw: no more POLi payments for QF

It can only be used for flights > 7 days out so if booking within a week from departure it would be almost impossible to buy a flight at the advertised price due to surcharges on the remaining payment methods. You could use gift vouchers but they are limited to $2k and you can only use one per...

Article: Chef Linda’s Epic Qantas Singapore Lounge Specials

Great article. I’ve always really enjoyed the food at the SIN lounge and Chef Linda’s shrimp paste chicken wings are a must for me whenever it’s on the menu.

Qantas to Introduce Group Boarding and Bag Tracking

This is pretty much describes me. I value priority boarding for access to overhead bin space and I value carry on due to lengthy waits to get bags at the carousel. If bags were consistently fast to the carousel then I wouldn’t be compelled to use carry on as much as I do.
