5,000 bonus points each on up to 3 international Qantas Hotels bookings (book by 5/8/24)

Do you mean six days? The promo ends in six days.

    Triple points

We should be getting the 3x instead of the 20%.

    Triple points

Probably best to assume they won't stack.

Jetstar no longer selling Max bundle in Economy

Did you get zero SC or did you get SC at the economy rate? If it's the former forget the call centre and just lodge a missing points claim. If it's the latter then that's a new problem. Please let us know how you eventually resolve it.

Fraud on Velocity Frequent Flyer accounts

Do you happen to remember what that FB group was? Sadly the exact scenario you described has happened to me and I'm keen to know the likely outcome of their investigations.

Global CrowdStrike IT outage impacting airports and more

They probably will if asked on the phone or online chat but since OP will only get a $29 cash refund or a $49 voucher if it was me I'd prefer a replacement flight. Perhaps a BNE-SYD-AVV/MEL since the direct flights are sold out.

Article: Qantas Pleased with Classic Plus Uptake

Except that you have a $100k gift card valid for that store only. So you'll probably sleep on it then come back the next day and buy it anyway.

    Accor Plus Membership Discussion

An anniversary date in the "ber" months is better because you effectively only need to earn status every second year to maintain your status. You cannot combine Plus and Voyageur. Japan is not one of Accor's strengths. I would not join specifically for a Japan trip. You will have much better...

    Qantas Club Flexible membership

Good example. Someone coming from Hobart or Gold Coast can get 6 lounge visits in the one return trip.

    Accor Fast Track to Silver/Gold/Platinum

To put it simply, a 1 year subscription costs $1,830. You get reward points worth $2,400. As a bonus, you get enough status points to make it 85% of the way through to platinum. It is pay by the month so you can unsubscribe at any time.

    Qantas Club Flexible membership

Considering people buy lounge passes on eBay for around $50 each then there is definitely a market for this product.

Six million people a year would use train to Melbourne Airport

Well played Melbourne Airport. It was a brilliant strategy. Use the excuse that the station should be built above ground long enough that the government removes funding for it in the budget. Now, the airport has dropped it's excuse having succeeded in delaying the train line by several years.

Q Bag Tags unavailable for purchase?

I managed to retrieve my tag from the bin but the packaging is too far gone. Oh well, it's a $200 lesson for next time.

Q Bag Tags unavailable for purchase?

Damn! I should have read this before I threw away my platinum tag. I just didn't see myself ever attaching it to my bag. There's currently a listing on eBay for a platinum tag with $215 as the highest bid. What value anyone sees in these things is a mystery to me. It's probably why I am not a...

Philippine Airlines Now Using Wamos for flights to SYD/MEL

EC-NCK is 2-4-2 down the back. No idea if its better or worse than PR's own planes although it felt a little strange flying to the Philippines with all the crew having Spanish accents. The IFE only had a handful of new movies.

MH appears in searches but not in May. CI is the only other QFF partner that flies there but I cannot see that route appear in searches.

Article: Should Qantas Sell Status Credits?

I don't buy this argument. If someone has to buy SCs to achieve status then they are unlikely to be visiting lounges often enough to overcrowd it. Looking at it from the point of view of a Qantas accountant, they should price it at a similar cost to a status run, plus a price premium for the...
