    Oz Based Tier Point Run

I wouldn't want to explain to Chinese authorities what a tier point run is. But a quick look at Google Flights, it looks like KTM-TPE is similarly priced (~$50 more) for the same 560 TPs. Looks good. That being said, it might be easier to start in TPE (maybe a QF reward flight on CI) then...

    Oz Based Tier Point Run

I've been fiddling around with this in Matrix and the best I can get is this monstrosity; KUL-DOH-JFK-PHX-LAS-LAX LAX-ELP-PHX-JFK-DOH-KUL for 1000TPs at ~$5200 Booking into C class on outbound, R on inbound. Can't get R to price on outbound to save ~$400. I haven't been able to get...

    Strategy to obtain US Amex

Looks like I was two years too late. I've read that HSBC has sold a lot of their stuff in the USA, but their website still looks like it works as you would expect. Can you still open an HSBC checking account with Australia premier status? Can you still get an RM to somehow get you an HSBC world...

Can't use Australian credit card for AAdvantage reward booking

Yes I am aware, hence the screenshot of the final page before I pay. I cant find a save itinerary button or similar and was hoping that I had missed something. Only way forward is to pay, which includes putting in the wrong address and hoping the AU card is accepted. I imported the itinerary...

Can't use Australian credit card for AAdvantage reward booking

Earlier in this thread, I was advised to pay over the phone as paying online requires me to put a fake address in as I dont live jn the US. Changing the location to AU loses the itinerary I imported via Matrix.

Can't use Australian credit card for AAdvantage reward booking

That makes sense, but it looks like I need 5o generate a PNR without paying so I can pay over the phone.

Can't use Australian credit card for AAdvantage reward booking

I am very very sorry for the basic question, but where do I save the itinerary to generate a PNR? Does the green "heads up" warning have something to do with (not being able to do) this? (please don't judge me for my attempt to put together a TP run) EDIT: Perhaps logging in helps?

Can't use Australian credit card for AAdvantage reward booking

Just to clarify - I am not talking about reward bookings, but full revenue fare/cash/not sure what they are called/the normal way to buy tickets for plebs like me. Can I read the itinerary out over the phone and have them piece it together? I am importing an itinerary via matrix and I can't...

Can't use Australian credit card for AAdvantage reward booking

Was this just a typical revenue fare on aa.com? You just put your aus details even though you selected USA as country of residence? This would greatly simplify the process for me if it works like this!

Is there a way to get an approx (base) price before calling the AA office?

My DONE4 (oneworld RTW) booking experience

Any help with using the oneworld online tool? It always gets angry if I put an itinerary over 34000 miles, even if it has a green tick for meeting the oneworld explorer DONE4 rules. Better to call AA office?

Is Citi Plus still the best option for overseas cash?

But what if I don't preloaded the HSBC global visa, and select credit? Will that use the Visa rate or HSBC preloaded rate even if I don't preload...? Surely it can't be this hard for a noob like me to figure out...

Is Citi Plus still the best option for overseas cash?

Is it easy to find what rate they are using? Surely it isnt the same spread as if you preload the card... .?

Oneworld Classic Flight Reward Discussion - The Definitive Thread

When my JL51 HND-SYD had an aircraft change I wasn't even notified. I only found out because the new plane was SkySuite 3 and wouldn't let poverty bronze pick a window seat so my seat qas unassigned. As far as I can tell, no equipment change on CX271, still A350-1000. The time and the aircraft...

Oneworld Classic Flight Reward Discussion - The Definitive Thread

Another interesting problem with my OWA in December... Qantas sent me an email confirming that my flight CX271 departure time has changed from 23:20 to.....23:20. Checked on MH and RJ app, both asked me to confirm and accept changes. Confirmed on MH and QF, got some generic email from MH...

Will they ticket it, that is the question. I'm going to guess no, based on QF's reputation around here. Guess I'm on the phone again.

Oneworld Classic Flight Reward Discussion - The Definitive Thread

About 1hr 20 minutes I think from memory. Update: Called anyway, sounded like south africa (?) call centre. Very polite assistant, immediately said that "I see the error" and put me on hold. Said that he fixed it and my flight segment was now "HK" - no need to worry, will be ticketed. Wouldn't...
