    Citi launching new Signature card

I have found out that there is no cap on the number of points you can earn. You earn 2 Citi points per $1 spent... Can transfer to Qantas... but it is 2 Citi = 1 QF Points. (You can also transfer to Cathay, Singapore and Virgin Blue - but not sure on the transfer rates at this stage). So...

AMEX four digit number next to the name

I understand that this number relates to the country the card is issued in. It is used by benefit providers (such as airline lounges) to determine whether you are entitled to the benefit. For example, the UK card may allow you access to a particular airline lounge... they can restrict it to...

    Business Credit Cards

NOTE: The ANZ Business Card has 0 days interest free... Which is very unappealing to me! Checkout the Westpac Business Card, its still 0.67 Points per dollar, but I think you get 44 days interest free.

Comm Bank to issue AMEX... changes to QF/Velocity point earning

Re: CBA AMEX offering I have rang and spoken to two different "credit card specialists" and they have both confirmed the issue of AMEX cards in October. I have asked both if there would be a change to the points earning on the Mastercard and they both said no. They confirmed that the AMEX...

I have been invited to get the Centurion card many times (about 5 times in the last 2 years). Have been a member since 1997 and spend about $300k p.a. I have never been able to find the value in the card that comes with a $4000+ fee. I am happy to pay for the Platinum Charge Card. Unless...

Forfeiture of Qantas Points on Members Death

I guess it all depends on how someone wants to use the points. But regardless, I think it is fair to say that there are alot of people amassing lots of points valued in the thousands of dollars and that it is unfair that they simply get wiped out on your death. Once again, there are more...

Forfeiture of Qantas Points on Members Death

I don't think I have overly valued my points. I travel regularly to Los Angeles. 1.6 million points = 8 return business class trips. Ordinarilly, i.e. not during the "Great Financial Crisis" it is my understanding that a Return Qantas Business Class Commercial Ticket would cost...

Forfeiture of Qantas Points on Members Death

With the increasing presence of the QFF in the community: Woolworths, Restaurants, Credit Card Point Earning "Enhancements" etc., I wonder whether Qantas should review its policy with regards to the death of a member. I believe that if a member has changed their spending patterns and worked to...

ATO (tax office) payments by credit card

The ATO are now accepting AMEX during this trial program. The charge for using AMEX is 1.02% compared to 0.67% for Mastercard and Visa. Lets hope the ATO turns this trial into a permanent payment option - and they negotiate the fees down a tad!

ATO (tax office) payments by credit card

That is what I thought, but the customer service person at ATO said it would be 2 transactions, so I was just seeing if anyone had first hand experience.

ATO (tax office) payments by credit card

For someone who has taken advantage of paying their ATO bill on their credit card: Does the 0.67% fee appear as a separate charge on the credit card statement or does the amount charged get grossed up to include the fee? Thanks PZ

Citibank Platinum - Receiving Bonus Points... Why?

I am currently receiving 1.5 points per $1 and am definitely not complaining! However, not wanting to draw it to the attention of Citibank... I was just wondering if it is a special promotion that i missed, whether it is a permanent error on their part, or if anyone knows if it has an end...
