The ATO are now accepting AMEX during this trial program. The charge for using AMEX is 1.02% compared to 0.67% for Mastercard and Visa. Lets hope the ATO turns this trial into a permanent payment option - and they negotiate the fees down a tad!

That is what I thought, but the customer service person at ATO said it would be 2 transactions, so I was just seeing if anyone had first hand experience.

For someone who has taken advantage of paying their ATO bill on their credit card: Does the 0.67% fee appear as a separate charge on the credit card statement or does the amount charged get grossed up to include the fee? Thanks PZ
