    Jetstar business class menu

Exactly this. Jetstar is a low-cost airline, and they make no claims to be anything more than that. By having a reliable menu that is available year-round, they avoid the additional costs associated with new menus and the administrative workload that comes with it, not to mention the moaning...

Velocity 20% bonus points on transfers offer - November 2023 to January 2024

And as expected, no bonus points have come through. Time to send off an email...

Qantas to Introduce Group Boarding and Bag Tracking

Similar experience for me departing Auckland. Though it was not 'group boarding' per se, they boarded the plane 5 rows at a time and actually enforced it. Worked just as well and efficient as group boarding. The disgruntled look from pushy boomers being turned away on account of their rows not...

    Jetstar Lounge Invitation Missing First?

Hi DAC1, just to confirm my understanding of what you are saying: Qantas First Class lounge entry can not be used for Jetstar (JQ) flights (Assume it will only work for Qantas flights). Would you have knowledge if Qantas General Lounge invitations (i.e. Business class lounge) can be redeemed...

China Eastern Business Class Lounge: Sydney (SYD) and Auckland (AKL)

That is interesting. I would have assumed that the lounge entry would be associated to the boarding pass and they would scan it (similar to LATAM business class access to the Qantas lounge). Good to know, thank you for sharing.

    Jetstar Business sale to HNL?

I too have noticed on the Jetstar website, the business class fares are not as transparent as the Economy fares. The "Flights" page will show the lowest fares +/- 3 days of your original search, but this is not the same when you have selected Business class. Instead, you need to click into...

China Eastern Business Class Lounge: Sydney (SYD) and Auckland (AKL)

Flying between the two cities later in the year with China Eastern - Business class. There is a surprising lack of information on the China Eastern website about which lounge business class passengers may access in either airport. Researching online is even more unclear as some websites...

Velocity 20% bonus points on transfers offer - November 2023 to January 2024

Yeah sure, but from a customer perspective, they should credit the points sooner rather than later. We are 26 days into July and still the bonus points have not arrived... they didn't specify that the points would arrive at the end of July so for the whole month a lot of customers are left...

Velocity 20% bonus points on transfers offer - November 2023 to January 2024

Same for me. This is seriously so annoying to have to follow up with velocity every single time.

    China Eastern's Sydney-Auckland flight

I made a booking today. After booking was confirmed, I could select my seats and can confirm that it is the 1-2-1 layout. The price difference between China Eastern and Qantas/Air NZ in business was astounding. Even on the 2-2-2 layout, the price differential would have made it worth it.

Virgin Australia and Air NZ to Form New Partnership

Thank you @dajop , your 'pedanticness' clarified my understanding - seems that others were under the impression that interlining was just about luggage through checking. Very helpful.

Virgin Australia and Air NZ to Form New Partnership

Got it, I was under the impression that interlining made separate flights come under a single ticket. Guessing that airlines won't put two separate flights under a single ticket?

    China Eastern's Sydney-Auckland flight

I too would assume they use this config on this route, but other airlines (LATAM) do use their 2-2-2 business layout for their Auckland-Sydney flights.

Virgin Australia and Air NZ to Form New Partnership

I thought that interlining flights meant that separate itineraries were joined to one, and the airline would 'cover you' in case of any delays throughout the journey?. I see, I did have a feeling this would be the case. Thanks for your insight. Do you know if travel insurance would cover you...

    China Eastern's Sydney-Auckland flight

Since these flights have been running, does anyone have experience or insight to which A330s they fly to Auckland - or have any insight on how I can find out? There are some good priced business class fares but I am aware that China Eastern have 3 configurations of A330s. Unfortunately making a...

Virgin Australia and Air NZ to Form New Partnership

Apologies for the ignorance, but from what we know about this partnership, does anyone have an opinion on whether Air NZ/Virgin would interline the following two itineraries when the partnership is finalised: Flight 1: Sydney to Melbourne flying Virgin Australia - booked on Virgin Australia...

Jetstar Business Class - Priority Baggae?

Considering a Jetstar business class fare to SE Asia. I do realise the seats are closer to premium economy than a lie flat business seat, but for a daytime flight it’s not so much of a problem. One question that I can’t find an answer on the Jetstar website is if business class bookings...

Virgin Australia Haneda Lounge access with Star Alliance Gold

Hey OP, have you taken this journey with Virgin before? I wish you best of luck, they fly their single aisle 737s on this journey - a plane that is really only suitable for domestic or Trans-Tasman hops. Not the most comfortable plane to be taking such a long flight on, though I am guessing the...

    Jetstar currency converstion beware

Had a play around on the Jetstar website and confirm the same thing OP, this means that for a return trip overseas, it would be cheaper to book 2 x 1-way tickets as a return itinerary will have the return flight converted to AUD at the Jetstar currency conversion rate. i.e. Traveling to Korea...

Qantas to Introduce Group Boarding and Bag Tracking

Absolutely, I am, what seems like a minority, and actually respect the size/weight and baggage allowance when it comes to carry on items. The Karen I referred to had a roller suitcase and some sort of wrapped package that she had got on holiday that looked very heavy. I think these...
