Not sure it's about the 'what ifs' It's just unhygienic, dirty, annoying and serves no purpose. A dog does a cough in the cage early on in the flight.......then what? The pax 10 rows away or same aisle has to put up with the stench for remaining trip to Perth, Darwin or Cairns? Yuko. Obviously...

Who says they'll be behaved? SMALL cage cats n dogs can go under carriage. Why and what does this achieve? Bunnings now VA flights, why?

I always check-in for my flights on mobile app. Happened to be on laptop trying to check-in via the desktop website, couldn't find check-in option anywhere on the booking. Within 48 hours. Only if I hit the link from email I could access check-in page. Can / where is it? Thanks in advance.

Out of interest, what makes the jet more for freight, but not pax at near end of life, 20+ years etc. Not worth replacing all upholstery? As mechanically it must be tip top still.

Did you explore other flight time options? Next day or day after 1pm flight? Surely better than 1am dep. At 72 your not working so extra day or 2 wouldn't hurt. What dates were these flights for?

Possible waste. Can't get extra 500 to gift Gold then not much use. Then again flying another carrier could well be a waste too, unless your on the loooong journey to Qantas lifetime status. Can use the velocity platinum benefits on the extra SC flights.

Some of us are fine with VA doing a 'good' job, but we know full well that aiming a little higher than 'good' should be the real aim & an airline like QR can quite likely lift VA above 'good'. 'good' may be QF benchmark & even that of late would be a stretch.
