Yeah 6 days but your essentially just waiting for that Wednesday to not have any reward seats as other days on hols will be taken. Worst case you could depart on the Monday. But if you want say the 4 seats, it wouldn't take much for there not to be 4 reward seats available. No gamble waiting...

I use the prepaid master cards from Coles for my rates. Pay online, put put in what amount to pay (amount of prepaid card) and goes thru in couple days. Pay remainging odd balance with credit card. As I hate coughty amounts left on prepaid / gift cards etc. Pre paid visa same deal.

What if it's QR funded and VA time thier other few international flights to coincide with the QR flights. Yeah named a VA lounge or whatever Lounge open for say 4-5hours & covers 3-5 flights. No need for it to be open all day. Just a thought.

Yes QF status pax would jump at the opportunity to use another lounge over their own sub-par lounges. There'd be way for QR VA to operate a lounge and keep the QF riff raff out.

I don't believe VA / Bain have ever hinted at int lounges, nothing, not even in the community surveys they send out. Something would have to really change and it wouldn't be happening anytime soon I imagine. VA mid tier so not all perks on the table. It is what it is.
