    What's your company travel policy?

Slightly left of centre view on this from myself. I am my own boss so i get what i want/can afford at the time. In addition I am a board member of a not for profit education provider. As such we regularly fly international speakers over for meeting/workshops and conferences. And this is where...

    Blocked seats - J on A330

My last J international flights were almost fully blocked out at 4 weeks prior to flights, but it was SQ so they tend to have blocked seats booked well ahead of the actual flights.

The Pinot Noir & Grenache Thread

To get Avance it is 30.99 a single so did not recommend it as per your restraint of cost. Cheaper that 30 in a six bottle buy.

The Pinot Noir & Grenache Thread

42 Degrees South Pinot Noir 2017 $23.95 at Dan Murphy Glaetzer-Dixon Nouveau Pinot Noir 2018 $25.99 Dan Murphy The 42 degrees is perfectly drinkable but for my money try the one from Nick Glaetzer he is on fire as a wine maker in Tasmania.

Whats your best experience on a delayed flight?

Reminds me about a flight out of Hong Kong, 1994, and i was a lowly student traveling back from India where myself and three others had been on placement. Think the flights/accom and trip entire was less than $1800, not bad for 6 weeks travel. So in Y and on a QF for the last leg all seated...

Whats your best experience on a delayed flight?

My wife and I were quite late leaving Hobart heading to Brisbane via Melbourne. (due to weather) We were in the second last row in Economy, and hoped to get the rear stairs for a hasty exit, nope, exit through the front air bridge only. It was during the renovations and we were being paged, so...

Hobart Wine, Food and Gin tasting trip – March 21 2020

Perhaps, think the tulip harvest is climate driven, so a bit fluid in terms of dates. Not 100% sure, have never had the privilege.

Hobart Wine, Food and Gin tasting trip – March 21 2020

I may work out that we do a smaller tour to coincide with a tulip trip and a larger one that suits better wrt fly in fly out attendees.

SQ refurbishing KrisFlyer Gold lounge in SIN

Looks from the map to be the old Dnata lounge which was my lounge of choice traveling economy. It had nice showers and toilets but is a lot smaller than the old Gold lounge, not sure how over packed it will be.

    Hobart Wine tasting/Craft beer/Whiskey/Cider/Gin tour [Aug 18/19 2018]

Would that be a wish for the proposed tour to operate in concert with the match?

Latest Scams in Europe 2018 please

We normally fly into Paris, and have never let our luggage out of sight/touch. Plan our accommodation to be on the same route RER line from CDG so we have only a single train and trip from the airport to our accommodation. And the same as we fly out. This thread has been very informative as we...

    Hobart Wine tasting/Craft beer/Whiskey/Cider/Gin tour [Aug 18/19 2018]

Mona wine tasting was on the preceding tour, I was impressed with the knowledge of the gentleman at the wine bar as well as the quality of the wines. So a tasting/tapas lunch could be done. The challenge is always drive time between wineries. Fine if we hire a minibus but challenging when we use...

Thank you for the advice, when my wife and I were traveling in France and surrounds late last year we experienced an almost pickpocket event. It was in the Metro from a busy stop with squeezed in standing room only. My wife was wearing the yellow hand bag as pictured. The bag had a clip in flap...
