Not Flying VA / VS through HKG Again to LHR

Not quite the same but my wife and I flew MEL-SIN-CDG return in J last September for about 132000 velocity ff points per person. So should be ok for less than what you have.

    Hobart Wine tasting/Craft beer/Whiskey/Cider/Gin tour [Aug 18/19 2018]

No not Huonville, I live at Old Beach, so the choppers we see are heading to the Geld River fire, which the fire fighters say will be fought for next 3-9months. Wrt burn offs, not sure as their budget has been blown in certain divisions. No idea about forestry this year sorry.

No smoke in March, fires still in remote areas and we have water bomber helicopters going out and back almost everyday.

    Hobart Wine tasting/Craft beer/Whiskey/Cider/Gin tour [Aug 18/19 2018]

I was voted Vice President of the Cornea and Contact Lens Society of Australia Late last year so combined with my state president responsibilities I am pushed for free time and energy. As such I have not planned another Hobart tour at this stage. I could be convinced though, all work and no play...

If one gets VERY close to Plat do they activate it anyway?

Happened to myself at 15 points off achieving platinum, after dropping to gold a fortnight earlier. Thing was I was 10 points off renewing platinum the fortnight before. My review date fell in the midst of an international trip, still dropped me to gold. So I can say it does jump both ways.

I will certainly consider that, i ran a social function in Hobart last year but will certainly consider Mel to check out your functions, Wine pouches would be a definite bonus.

Getting Wine from A to B

I have used something similar to this in my last trips, seems like a good idea, but nowhere near the protection offered from the bags that Cruiser showed. I think the leak proof thing almost indicates they will have breakages. I bought these from Dan Murphys...

Getting Wine from A to B

I had two of these air pocket sleeves that I used for years, but had no idea where they came from. They have failed now after many many trips. Did you say they came in parcels protecting lithium batteries? Can you buy them? Ta.

Virgin Australia Business Class - Meals, Menus & Service

I agree with your statement, I enjoy sharing good food more than bad food, so have no qualms about photography of food and seat etc. I am not comfortable doing YouTube videos, but do enjoy watching the same.

You know you are a frequent flyer when ...

Yep, i do that too, and put small change in a small zip section of my bag, less chance of someone stealing your money, wallet, phone, sunglasses in the bag or in the jacket.

    Covermore poor and slow communication

I bought Covermore insurance as I bought my international flights on the virgin website, as you do at the end of the booking. I was unable to add my wife to the policy as she was flying on different ticket SQ vs my VA ticket. Not sure why but such is life. I had to cancel my policy after buying...
