Late evenings are usually your best bet when attempting this :) I did this recently (mind you I'd already redeemed my points during the Velocity 15% promo) and they transferred the points i'd since accrued to Ascent for me within about an hour.

ANZ Rewards Travel Adventures 60,000 velocity points now for $225 annual fee, including the return flight within AU (needs to be booked 60 days out) - requires a $500 spend within 3 months
