    Qantas Wine latest offering

A couple of decimal places out. 90,000pts for $225 would be 0.25c per point. But all you’re buying is the points in this case. With the wine bonus point offers you’re also buying the wine. What the wine is worth is obviously up for debate.

    Everyday Rewards Targeted Offers

Got most of the above plus 10x points on coconut water which our household seems to go through like it’s going out of fashion. It’s half price this week so will grab 20 bottles or so. Stacks nicely with the $50 QF hotels voucher.

    SQ Tips, Trips and Tales

Didn’t think it was possible for me to be more excited about my F trip from SYD in 5 weeks time but here we are! It’s going to be a champagne fest! SQ262 + 3hrs in TPR/F lounge on arrival! :D Then Salon a few days later on JL6!

    Flybuys Targeted Bonus Promotions

1x $60/wk for 4wks = 10,000pts 1x $70/wk for 4wks = 10,000pts 1x $80/wk for 4wks = 10,000pts All accounts have bought plenty of gift cards recently. Only difference is the two higher spend targets have completed recent 4wk offers for lower amounts.

    Coles gift card offers

No idea what the process is for putting them on to the shelves, whether that’s Coles staff, managers, or the external gift card people who deliver supply. But my experience is that extremely often there are more inside, either in boxes or outside boxes hanging on the shelves inside the cabinet...

    Coles gift card offers

Went in to my local store at a Westfield about 45 min ago. No $100 on the shelves as expected. Ample supply inside the cabinet (also as expected). Grabbed 10 of the 15 I want and will come back tomorrow most likely to get the other 5. Easy.

    Coles gift card offers

The cost of these offers is not the $100 or $250 card, it’s the activation fee. So buying 5x$100 cards costs you $25 (not $525) and you earn 5x2,000 bonus flybuys + 5x105 base flybuys + whatever points earned on the CC you use to pay for it.

    Brisbane Premium Lounge Entry

At BNE currently and the premium entry security line is anything but. Much slower than the regular line. Shouldn’t have bothered.

    UpgradeMe pricing and success

BNE-MEL for tomorrow morning. Put in a bid a few days ago. Min bid $65, I put in $100. Got the “you have been outbid” email yesterday but this morning I see I have been successful.

Article: If You Have a Huge Points Balance, You Might Be Doing It Wrong

Rarely have a huge balance due to constantly planning and redeeming them on future trips. If we have a big trip planned then will save them up for that specific goal but wouldn’t peak at much over 1m points across all programs and used pretty quickly after that.

10,000 Woolworths rewards points for a travel insurance policy.

Has been a few months for this to progress but I received a call from the AFCA case manager today. I was informed that they had determined that NIB is the responsible party here despite them protesting that they aren’t. Apparently lots of information supplied by me but nothing at all from NIB...

Debit Card Surcharges May Be Banned By 2026

Surely this will just be a first step though? CC surcharges will also presumably be banned at some point after this.

Debit Card Surcharges May Be Banned By 2026

Won’t surcharges just be incorporated into the advertised price? Which of course is how it should be. Every other business cost is included in the price.

Article: How I Make Qantas Reward Availability Work for Me

Agree with this. I don’t fly anywhere near as often as many/most on this forum but when we plan something we have generally been able to use Qantas points for part of the trip and in premium cabins. The aspirational stuff is what we looks for too. Our last big trip in 2022 we got the 3 of us in...

    Woolworths gift card thread

I have managed to split payments over the counter at TMR previously. Used 4x $100 prepaid Mastercards with the balance on my CC from memory. It wasn’t exactly well received but was allowed all the same.

The definitive thread on Qantas IT gripes

Managed to get through to Hobart and they were able to make this change. Said they requested JAL to divorce the two existing segments and then added in the SIN-HND in F. So good result. Now F all the way through SIN-JFK.

The Master SQ Guide (Krisflyer, Waitlists & Waitlists Clearing)

Not sure of what’s going on currently but I got an F saver SYD-SIN about 6 or 7 months ago for mid-Dec departure. EDIT: booking was made late March for a mid-December departure. On the 777.
