Pre-flight RAT test for transit pax and documentation

Just curious about the RAT tests done through Histopath. Are they different to the home ones, ie do they swab your throat and stick it all the way up your nose ( as per PCR), or just swab the first 2 cm inside the nose?

Booster vaccines, eligibility and travel bookings

Had my booster done at medical centre yesterday. It was about a week short of six months. I was asked about my previous dose, but not questioned about why I was early. Received an email from mygov in under 2 hours regarding updated vaccination record.

    Thailand and Malaysia via Singapore

Unfortunately that seems to be the case, unless Malaysia opens to Australia directly. Seems to work out OK for me though, but disappointed by the testing requirements for MY (PCR) SYD->SIN (3 weeks)> KUL (2 weeks)>SYD

Predictions of when international flights may resume/bans lifted

About needle phobia, I don't know why there is so much close-up footage of needles going into arms around. Almost every news item involving vaccinations, they will show these "horror" footage of someone being stuck in the arm.

To be expected, I guess NSW took about 2.5 weeks to go from 93% to 94% first dose (Oct 23)

    Thailand and Malaysia via Singapore

I think Singapore is going to start accepting ART test as pre-departure test, so potentially, you can save a few dollars on the very first test.

Predictions of when international flights may resume/bans lifted

    Singapore during Chinese New Year

You certainly won't get the "full" Singapore experience during CNY (for at least the 3-5 days of CNY). Besides most Chinese businesses being closed, lots of Singaporeans go away overseas, many Malaysians/Mainland Chinese go back home. Malay/Indian/International stalls and shops will be open. Not...
