4 x j tickets on SQ with points plus pay?

Looking at 4 x j tickets to Europe on SQ. Booking mid to end next year for flights in 2023.
If don't have quite enough points what's best way to Max points? Ie buy more points? Or use cash to pay for flight? Or upgrade from economy?

Depending on how short, you could redeem 3 flights and purchase 1.

Agree with @Scr77 - also getting 4 J awards on one flight will prove difficult. Also IMO the points required for an upgrade are not "value for points" and going from Y to J is a double upgrade (Y to PE to J) - also PE awards are also not "value for points". There aren't many way to accumulate extra SQ points in the mean time - except a bonus signup offer on a credit card which allows transfers to SQ (but it's 2:1 transfer).

I'll likely have enough for 3xJ and 1xY.

So was wondering if worth buying SQ points if close enough. Would prefer to avoid $$ for full fare J.

Looking 12 mths out appears that SQ have good availability for 4xj. Can do stop over in Singapore if need be.

Where in Europe? i say this as Turkey is in a different zone and requires substantially less points than the rest of Europe. If you are planning being anywhere in that vicinity it may be a way of doing this (travelling into IST and out of elsewhere or vice versa - or return depending on how short you are) - adding on some cheap short intra Europe flights.
