Ok so my classic reward flight from MEL-TPE on 8th April has been cancelled by Qantas/CI and switched to BNE-TPE instead on the same date.
I assume since they cancelled this flight and changed it, I won't be charged the 6k cancellation points.
Not gonna be able to do this trip anymore so what...
Surely with the newly advised Level 4 "DO NOT TRAVEL" ban just announced, the 6k points cancellation should now be refunded as well?
But then again it's Qantas...
From memory changing a reward booking only incurs the 5000 point penalty per passenger per booking so this waiver policy sounds like I should be exempted with no additional fees imposed.
At least that's how I understand it.
So according to Change fee waiver for Qantas International and Domestic bookings, if I have 2 QF reward bookings with China Airlines to Taipei in April, I will be able to change the booking dates without the 5000 point penalty?
Can someone please let me know what lounge does a China Airlines J class passenger use in Melbourne?
I see conflicting reports of some saying the Qantas International Business and some saying the Marhaba Lounge.
Much appreciated, thank you!
Yeah I was kinda dreading having to do this, not sure if I should wait it out and hope Taiwan lifts the Korea ban in March.
Clutching at straws
I have a reward flight on China Airlines booked using QF points in April but the problem is I am visiting S. Korea before that and according to LINK, I will need to be quarantined in Taiwan for 14 days which I would rather not.
I assume I need to contact Qantas in regards to my reward booking...
I think I'm having the same issues as you but calling them never crossed my mind.
Looks like I'll have to trot down the same path...
Can I ask, what was the specific number that you rang?
Thanks.
Super generous of you Matt to have this giveaway and I would love to try my luck as a lowly Red member who has never had enough status to even reach silver 🤣
