    Hilton Brisbane beyond June 2024

I think the chances of that are pretty much zero. Nowhere near enough suites. Tiny Exec Lounge.

Hilton Sydney: App check in - which room to pick

Are there any corner rooms available? Those are slightly bigger than the others. Although the renovations were a help and got rid of the bulky desk furniture. I’d pick a high corner well away from the lifts. They are pretty noisy.

I don’t think they do Amex on the MRT? My recollection is that I had to use my Visa. I could be wrong though

Qantas Business Class Upgrade - MEL -> SIN

I have taken more than 50 flights this year. Vast majority of those on QF. On every single one either myself or some other pax have been wearing track pants. In fact this morning’s flight I was in lulu aligns. You are over thinking this, taking pics /info out of context. Track pants are totally...

How do Hilton treat you as an Elite?

Hilton AKL doesn’t have an Exec lounge. They give you two drinks vouchers at check in in lieu of this.

Qantas Business Class Upgrade - MEL -> SIN

Was replying more generally for research purposes. But yes take your point re the footwell. Not a problem for me, I will take privacy from the aisle every time over footwell space.

Qantas Business Class Upgrade - MEL -> SIN

Row 2 is better on the A330 IMHO. 2A/K have the seat next to window and the table/ console next to the aisle. Far more private than row 1 where the seat is right next to the aisle. The reverse is true on the B787 where row 1 is more private.

    Are jet lag pills effective?

I think for me the best way to avoid jet lag is to arrive onboard a bit tired. Easy as I’m normally wide awake all night before a long haul in case I sleep in. I set my watch immediately to the destination time zone. Pop a 10mg Melatonin 1 hour before bedtime arrival zone. Drink lots of water...

    VA “secret announcement”

That’s totally embarrassing. It’s Friday 28th February 2025. $269 as Flex Y. Can’t see J available. Think it would be a fab flight but I have no intentions of flying into SYD that day.

    Are jet lag pills effective?

IDK but if there is a pharmac_ I imagine it would be. I’m there next month and will take a look if nobody reports back sooner.

    Are jet lag pills effective?

Big Melatonin fan. If you are going to Europe with a SIN stopover it’s available over the counter in pharmacies there. Funnily enough manufactured in Australia

    Complimentary upgrade weirdness

All upgrades whether complimentary or points to business show up as U. There is nothing new in this. The SC/points earn estimate on the website cannot differentiate between an outright U award or an upgrade from a paid fare. The back end IT can and does differentiate them.

    Complimentary upgrade weirdness

You will earn the SC for the original flex fare. Should not be any need to chase this up.
