    Citibank Plat VISA 60 K , May 31

No, I see a similar thing (though the points balance is less now, as the first statement has been issued, so it is now just showing the points since the first statement). I think you're all good.

Just in case anyone was wondering do you actually get QFF points...

    Citibank Plat VISA 60 K , May 31

Don't know, but I suspect not - so I think you'll still have to spend. However, please don't rely on my guess, because that's all it is.

    Citibank Plat VISA 60 K , May 31

No (not before applying - would have been OK to just get the points - we could use the Citibank travel option for local trips in a worst case), but checked information posted elsewhere on this thread / forum, and confirmed before opting in.

    Citibank Plat VISA 60 K , May 31

I can confirm you can earn QFF points, but you must be careful how you do it. Firstly, posters who note there is no option for QFF direct earn during the application process are correct; you do not choose QFF direct earn during the application, but only after you have received your card, but...

How Early can you book a rewards flight - departure date or return date?

Obvious idea which I hadn't thought of  Not a big risk - we'll travel anyway (and have to travel at this time, though actual departure and arrival dates are a little flexible), and the worst outcome is we travel on points one way and paid on the return.

How Early can you book a rewards flight - departure date or return date?

I know, according to the T&Cs at Frequent Flyer - Using Points - Qantas & Partner Classic Awards - About Classic Awards that you can "Book as early as possible - up to 353 days in advance." My question is do I need to wait until the return date is < 354 days away, or can I start the booking...

Are there any current fee free (1st year) 1:1 QF Visa or Mastercard Card Offers

Thanks, had pretty much concluded this was my best option.

Are there any current fee free (1st year) 1:1 QF Visa or Mastercard Card Offers

I am looking for a fee free card that has 1:1 QF points for a few (3 months) months use only. Or, if there is one were the application fee is near enough to bonus points. Must be Visa / MC - will only be used when I can't use Amex at 1.5, until my Citibank Visa uncaps. Thanks BJ

Should long term Qantas Club membership be recognised?

I think it actually proves everything. This is a customer who has chosen to move - despite a long history of being a "loyal" customer, who has moved because the benefits don't add up for this customer. It doesn't matter really whether the benefits might be there or not, if a customer...

Should long term Qantas Club membership be recognised?

Would be interesting to test that. Problem is, that would be cutting off my nose to spite my face; I would end up with no benefits, rather than less, because I'm pretty sure they'd offer to refund a tiny proportion of my original fee. If we lived in a more litigious society (and I'm glad we...

Best Credit Card(s) for $150,000 per annum spend?

Mine is to fly in J as often as possible on long haul internationals - which (on average) I do once every 10 years, and to upgrade to J on PER MEL and PER BNE legs, which I do far more often, as well as J to AYQ, as well as (admittedly low value) domestic legs for the family to accompany me when...

Should long term Qantas Club membership be recognised?

I agree 100%. I paid for benefits that have been removed. Of course, that's part of the risk for paying in advance, but that doesn't mean I need to be happy about it. To those saying "fly more if you want status" - I don't want status, just the benefits I paid for. I agree that customers...

Best Credit Card(s) for $150,000 per annum spend?

Fair enough. I guess I should have saide for the QF FF program; primarily because the vast majority of my travel (and thus earning capability for points and status) is domestic, and most of my points / balance is in that program; so I'm looking to maximise points there. I have 560,000 points...

Best Credit Card(s) for $150,000 per annum spend?

Thanks for that. That will buy me some breathing space. Can work out what to do in 11 months about the fee. I was a bit lazy, just applied online via Netbank, where they have all my details. I'm a HVC with them, so should be able to at least get a fee waiver, but we'll see. Bonus points would...

Best Credit Card(s) for $150,000 per annum spend?

I know this question has been asked before a million times, but... I was a happy CitiBank Platinum No Fee for Life (upgraded from Gold) cardholder, who, for the first time, has been capped (7 months into my year), so I need a new primary card. Also hold a Qantas American Express Premium Card...

    Finally had Platinum capped...

Same. Time to ditch it. Did like fee free platinum, but not no points. Have to do the maths on what to replace it with. Probably need to shift $120,000 of $150,000 per annum to an Amex on 1.5 x, and leave the remaining $30k on the platinum.

Should long term Qantas Club membership be recognised?

I suspect there is a happy medium between not recognising it at all (current situation), and treating it the same as Platinum (which would suit me just fine). I've had QC membership now for 17 years - bought life 17 years ago for around $3400 if I remember correctly, so it costs me around $200...

Citibank upgrading fee free Gold to fee free Platinum

My points transferred across. Interestingly I can now access both the old (closed) gold card and new platinum online - both balances are the same. The only odd thing is that the points accrued for the month only shows 78 (which is probably the two transactions made on the new card since the...

Citibank upgrading fee free Gold to fee free Platinum

Got the upgrade as well on Monday, and was going to check here before upgrading, but ended up just activating, and asking the questions on the phone: Yes, fee free for the life of the "new" account platinum. Yes, all charges against the old card will be accepted automatically and show up on...
