I was also not targeted and transferred 10k on 26/9 via the link on the off chance it may work. Received an email today regarding gold status. But noticed I was upgraded yesterday (not sure exactly when it hit my account).

Did anyone have any luck getting this without being targeted? I wasn't targeted, but transferred via the invitation link on the afternoon of 26th (last minute). Assuming I did not get the status due to not being targeted, but it is possible it was due to the limit of transfers being exceeded...

In my case: Approved last Thursday Activated Tuesday this week Received code today (Friday) (I applied through the link on this forum and was not specifically targeted)

I just called also and had the same conversation. They were not aware about the code to be supplied by ANZ.

Does anyone know if there are restrictions with getting velocity explore gold twice through flybuys?

I am wondering the same thing. I was approved 2 days ago with and am yet to receive a phone call or code. Hoping to hear from them after the weekend? If not, I might give them a call to check and at least supply my velocity number.

No chance of a transfer being granted the good status without receiving the email I assume? I have heard of people receiving the gold status on the Coles MasterCard sign up by using someone else’s targeted link. Is there a link in this case however, or just an email?

Considering applying for this card soon. Appears there has previously been a 60k sign up bonus. Anyone have any thoughts of the current 40k bonus increasing in the bear future?

Anyone know the history on the sign up bonus for this one? Seems like there may have been 60k sign up bonuses previously? Interested in signing up, but if a decent chance of a better sign up bonus than the current 40k in the next month or so will hold out.

Thanks for the update. Given the complications you had, might give this one a miss this time round. Might wait until I have an end of financial year payment summary showing the $150k earned (which will hopefully not be as subjective in their eyes) and hope they run another similar promotion next...

So it seems like it may be worthwhile holding at least a card for the longer term for the benefit of your credit rating?

Do you know if length of history of an individual card relevant? If not, no point me getting a card to keep as s back up long term.
