We will be on this plane ICN - SYD at the beginning of November. When we booked our KE flights SYD to TAS via ICN, the plane for ICN - SYD was B789 (I think) but a few weeks later it was changed to B747 so we changed the J seats to the upstairs.

Just want to throw in my personal views on this. Which airline brought us home from the UK in the midst of the pandemic lockdowns? Was it QF? No, it was QR. If it had not been for QR, we and many others would have no way of getting home.

We are going to TAS with KE - SYD - ICN - TAS in a couple of months. Tagging along with friends who have been to TAS a few times. They have been invited to a wedding, and apparently we are invited as well. Should be interesting.

It seems that this new Smart Awards card (LHS), one cannot transfer points to airlines (other than opt in for QF) - the ultimate card (RHS) points can be transferred to 10 different airlines (but the conversion is very poor!)
