Looks like there's a Biz Saver fare Mel to Port Vila return Jun 1-Jun 3 for $1299 via BNE if anyone wants a tropical weekend with a bit of flying and a lot of SCs (it's either 280 or 320 right? ) If I'm correct it's less than $5 per SC anyways...

I've been out of the game for a while but with the double status offer and some sale fares I'm hoping to get back to WP by Mar next year... but I'm a bit concerned about status credits disappearing into the dreaded black hole (and if I'll get any benefits mid trip) Currently at 40 SCs and 1...

I think I'll be cancelling my Amex. I've already transferred all my points to Velocity (have almost half a million there now) which I'll be using up this year on flight redemptions I think... it seems that the value of rewards programs have now been eroded so much there's hardly any reason to...

Thanks guys - I dropped from WP a while back but will likely get it back early next year. When I had it before I never once used my complimentary upgrades because it never seemed worth it... wasn't sure if that had changed with the new fare structures and rules etc. Still seems like points...

I've been looking for a thread on it but no luck... has anyone figured out the best value (I guess closest to Getaway) Freedom fares are? Bang for buck wise using the comp upgrades on lower cost Freedom fares is probably the way to go...

Do WP no longer get access to the First lounge at Abu Dhabi? On my recent trip through I was directed to the business lounge near the gates when I tried to enter :/
