Anyone know the current status of the book->cancel->rebook method? I need to make a trip to Perth so was going to book PER-MEL-PER then cancel and rebook the other way around (it's so stupid that we can't just book Perth :@) then possibly use my Plat upgrades :P Anyone tried it recently?

What about taking the train the Gold Coast, getting a Business Saver class to Hobart (Via MEL) (200 SC with the DSC promo) and hopefully a saver lite back to BNE (50 with DSC). A bit of overkill on the points but should be doable for ~$1000
