From a product design perspective, it wouldn't make sense to not waive the foreign transaction fees. There needs to be an incentive and many good reasons for us to upgrade and pay a higher annual fee.

In short i was told, as long as its your first time applying for the Qantas Transaction account, you should be eligible.
Edit: Reading some of the mix responses, I will phone Bankwest just to make sure.
Received an offer from the Qantas newsletter today to apply for the Qantas transaction account and receive 10,000 bonus points. I enquired and double checked with Bankwest and Existing customers are eligible provided you meet the new rules.
The representative whom i spoke to was pretty tight lipped on releasing any new information about this new card, but i've noticed a recent change in their 'complimentary credit card insurance booklet' which talks about a World MasterCard. So i suspect this new card would a premium type of...
Best to hold onto the card as I spoke with a representative that said a new card would be launched soon to coincide with these changes. So you don't have to go back to Woolies :D
Haven't seen this until now, but it looks like Amex is doing complimentary wine offers similar to Citibank's dining program.

Yes true, but the free for life offer has expired.
Sadly the Late fees are on top of interest charges.
Apparently, a new product from Citibank. The good benefits of this card is the 0% balance transfer for 12 months.
