Just flew KLM 737 and two Swiss flights A319 and A320. All had curtains, which were used as soon as the flight attendants were released and signs on overheads stating “Business Class Baggage only” I can’t see why Qantas can’t do the same. It would avoid a lot of confusion.
No we’re not Matt, this particular discussion revolved around a post that I originally made discussing whether signs such as no trespassing (and others) were or were not rules. I can see why you would be confused. That is partly why I started the post with the comment, ‘First of all I can’t...
First of all I can’t believe this argument follows on from my original benign statement about signs.
Yes, it also illustrates perfectly what I am saying, ask 100 people what trespass means and almost of them will describe an offence within the Act. To say trespass is not a crime is semantics...
I don’t expect you to respect me when I am in J, I just ask that you respect the sign that asks you to not enter unless you are a J pax. Unfortunately once one Y pax uses the front toilet there seems to be an avalanche of Y pax coming forward.
Unfortunately on many occasions, there has been a...
Yes sorry, my bad re spelling.
You don’t have to go very far into the Act to find this, ‘An Act to consolidate the enactments relating to the protection of inclosed lands from intrusion and trespass.’ (My bold)
Anyway, this is off topic.
You can’t deny the rules are the rules. I’ve already quoted the conditions of travel.
I’ve never seen or heard a CSM or cabin crew invite Y pax to use the front toilet, I’ve only ever seen them allow it when a Y pax has put them in an awkward position by either asking to use it or by making it...
Well what about in the context of a written instruction on an aeroplane such as “ Business class passengers only past this point”
Are you seriously only going to obey an instruction if the penalty is prosecution?
Are you that type of person?
Some people have to have a good look at themselves!
Yes, perhaps you should.
Qantas conditions of travel state,
2.3 Basis of Carriage
The carriage of a Passenger on any flight by Qantas under the QF Airline Designator Code is, without exception, subject to:
these Conditions of Carriage
any applicable Tariffs filed by us with regulatory bodies...
No, policy is what is expected of you not the way we would like to do things. If you don’t wish to abide by a certain company’s policy you are free to go elsewhere. I would even go as far to say that there is a requirement to abide by Qantas’ policies as a condition of carriage.
The priority...
No smoking - not a rule, just a sign
Police only past this point - not a rule, just a sign
Authorised personnel only - not a rule, just a sign
No trespassing - not a rule, just a sign
First Class check in - not a rule, just a sign
Do not use mobile phones - not a rule just a sign
Priority...
After SWMBO had to regularly stare at the rear end of y pax waiting to use the front toilet, including meal times, on a trip to and from Sydney and Darwin I emailed Qantas some time ago seeking their policy on this very issue. I got the usual response. Nothing. I emailed them again and still...
I agree. I just can’t seem to get comfortable in the 787 J seats. They feel a bit ‘clunky’ when trying to get them into a comfortable position. They also seem to be too firm.
Thanks Matt, yes it’s an aircraft transfer, that’s the problem, only a two class a/c with no First.
It’s no biggie, the business lounge will suffice, I just wanted to make sure that we weren’t entitled to the first lounge.
