Is it just me, or does it look way better than the regular KUL-MEL choices? I haven’t flown this route in a while, but the KUL-SYD breakfasts always look unappetizing.

This benefit is the main thing keeping me with QF (vs a different OW airline). If this and/or award SCs go away, it may be time for me to look elsewhere.

I did this on the current OWA I’m on - I changed start destination from BKK to KUL. I don’t recall the agents having any issues, but I think that we had to try different ticketing locations to get a successful ticket - I ended up ticketing in AU.

Unless anything has changed since my last OWA, a surface sector counts as a stopover in your origin city. So in your case, LHR is your stopover.

Yep, that makes sense. I’m wondering if I should be less obvious about doing this - I have stopovers in SYD, BNE, and eventually MEL. I suppose as it’s still technically valid and I’m not breaking any published rules, it shouldn’t matter.
