Please don't make excuses for a terrible product. Rates are terrible, service is terrible and assisting travellers is the last thing QF were thinking of when launching this product.

Until QF gets a CEO with core customer service focus nothing will change. AJ is an OPEX man and his focus is the bottom line...customer experience can be expensive and the first thing to go when fuel prices go up (or down).

This would all go away if QF upgraded the sad excuse of a lounge known as International Business in both MEL and SYD - currently an embarrassment. It really is bogan hell especially around school holidays and peak seasons, kids running around everywhere, slop food splashed about, dirty carpets...

You certainly experienced the worst QF has to offer; middle J seat on the oldest aircraft in the fleet. Sometimes great crew can make the experience better. Regardless I always tell family and friends when looking at QF to know what aircraft they will be flying before purchasing premium cabin...

I am sure you can expand this to travel in general. Some fellow travellers are happy to chat while others will always be reserved. Many various reasons for this but no need to fuss over it. I will always be friendly with a good morning or how are you and the rest just flows as the other party...

QF7 for tomorrow has been cancelled - A380 has gone tech. It was a full flight along with my flight on Sunday to DFW almost full as well....not sure how QF will get out of this one - AJ keep running the fleet tight as can be - great customer experience even from major hub SYD.
