Just confirming that if I pool points and SCs to a family member, I still get the sector from a flight, right?

How do i see these magical SQ flights on the VA site? I keep getting served QR flights which my wife refuses to fly, I'd love to buy SQ codeshares with a VA flight number but can't work out how to do it. Or is it like Hawaiian, have to do it over the phone, can't do it online?

That might be for APS, in NSW it's not the case, except when I fly every 2-3 weeks on NSW regional flights, I have to fly QF since VA's regional routes were all closed. Even then we often get put on Rex.

That's the thing. I recently managed to book Sydney to New York on a VA flight number with United, but find it's often impossible to Europe - 90% of the time the VA engine only shows me Qatar flights (we will not fly Qatar) and I have found it extremely hard to get onto a VA codeshare flight...

Just I’m posting this from SQ222 with VFF on my boarding pass and this tip worked perfectly!

I'd stick with VFF number on the booking to gurantee points and SCs and pay the $20 for whole-flight wifi, seems like an insignificant cost for the certainty.

I have a few regional NSW trips to do in Sept-Oct so I'm hoping some sort of alliance is formed, sick of flying Rex and Qantas when I could be getting sweet VFF benefits.

Is there a way to book online where I can, for example, book 4 people onto a flight, with 2 x choice and 2 x lite fares? Or do they all have to be the same fare class, or I'd have to book 2 separate bookings of 2 ppl each on the same class?
