I didn't receive the offer, perhaps as I had recently booked two flights in order to retain SG. Maybe QF figured I will retain on my anniversary date so no need to induce me to book more flights.

Upgrade came through sometime between T-22 and T-13. Interesting no text message received, just looked at Qantas app when I woke up - points deducted and new seats assigned - row 16 centre which should be good. Very happy as will be able to sleep on the long flight home!

I am on QF1 in mid May in PE and I cannot select the first row either and I am SG. Maybe just for WP and P1. I saw on another forum someone saying that one side of the front row in PE has nothing in front - and was not great due to lack of storage - perhaps no side bins there at that seat?

Thanks serfty. SMS came through at 9:02am confirming upgrade for the two of us on QF433 SYD to MEL for 26 January, departing at 12:30pm, so about T-27 which is quite good. Still a few seats available in J when I go in and select seats. Looking forward to it!
