recomendations?

spending 4 nights in oct with family (wife and 2 kids) and looking for options.

will be accor plat, discovery black and hilton gold on the trip and we do like lounge for the easy breakfast and snacks/drinks during the day.

Both the Sofitel So and Sofitel Sukhumvit are great hotels. They have quite different styles so check them out. Both lounges are pretty good.

My 2 go hotels in Bangkok. Shangri-La Kungthep wing, lounge ground floor. Breakfast, afternoon tea, happy hour, great food. Okura Pestige, elegant Japanese style. [h=1][/h]

Pullman G Bangkok on Silom Road has a good lounge too. Very attentive staff last time I was there (which was 2 years ago). Its the old Sofitel so the lounge has been maintained to that standard. Great views over the city and good quality food and drink. You can get a club room there often for well under AUD$200 per night.

Stayed at Hilton Millennium in May, Hilton Diamond so had EL included. Lounge very good, hotel location OK, complimentary boat across to other side of river. Construction happening at hotel and next to the hotel.

The Lebua is our go to hotel in Bangkok. Don’t know how it compares to others as we have always had a fantastic stay there so haven’t bothered to try anywhere else.
Lounge has great views and a pretty decent assortment of F&B.
The breakfast is amazing

Millenium Hilton is Ok and Happy Hour or 2 is quite good with great views. I'm planning 2 nights there month and as a Gold hoping to have lounge access.

Take note for a 5 night stay where you want to get around then Conrad is quite good as is Hilton Sukhumvit.

Thanks JohnK, after reading lots of reviews and posts on FT etc it sounds like they are all ok (and all terrible....) so I just need to figure out which will suit my plans - trouble is I don’t have any.

Perhaps include into your equasion proximity to Bangkok transportation - BTS, MRT, Chao Phraya River.
