    Citi Select - ATO payments

I can't confirm for sure, but SROs still earn points - so I'd guess the answer to you question is yes.

    CitiBusiness Gold 'no longer available'

Ahh I see, I misunderstood. I suppose it's possible - reckon it's highly unlikely though.

A couple of Q's about DC and NYC

Sure, but you might have to wait a little bit - sorry, just super-super busy at work at the moment, my schedule seems to be nothing but work-eat-sleep-work-eat-sleep (-quickly-catch-up-on-AFF-watched-threads-at-1am-before-I-have-to-be-up-for-work-again-at-6am) :( Definitely well before Xmas...

ATO (tax office) payments by credit card

Dunno if I should be proud or embarrassed to make #3  And I was late into this thread too. ;)

Re: What's your prediction on the Australian Dollar? My pleasure. Thanks! Do you really not see any potential cost savings in health? I'll defer to your much greater knowledge in this area, but intuitively it doesn't seem "right" to me that there wouldn't be any. That aside, you responded...

Glad to hear it - just thought I'd double-check for your sake! Agree 100% - if I could have only one credit card (out of the entire market, not just in contrast to Amex Plat Charge) I would choose the CB Select without hesitation.

Citi Select (post March 2013) - ? worth $700 annual fee

That's quite a string of bad luck :-( Did you press them at all about the replacement card? Back when I only had CBG a stop was placed on the card due to possible compromise of a merchant I'd transacted with (i.e. it was just precautionary) while I was in travelling overseas. At the time Citi...

ATO (tax office) payments by credit card

Just jumped on this one myself - negative nancy ole me is still convinced the opportunities for ATO points earn are going to keep drying up, so I decided I was happy to pay the increased cost per point (compared to WOW EDR) in exchange for earning points faster. As an aside, very easy...

    EDR General Promotions

You know what's annoying? When for some reason WOW don't send you an e-mail about this offer, you read about it on this thread, and then realise you spent $97 in one transaction at WOW last night

ATO (tax office) payments by credit card

To the best of my knowledge there are very few "good" point-earning business cards other than Amex-issued Amexes, which are no good for ATO. You could try the NAB Business Qantas card (a MasterCard) for 0.75 QFF points per dollar - we have these at work and have put some tax dollars through them...

With that sort of spend, I hope you mean you have a Visa Signature "level" card with Citibank - i.e. Citibank Select - and not the "Citibank Signature" card?

What's your prediction on the Australian Dollar?

Thanks for the suggestion - I'm not a fan of carrying big wads of cash around when travelling though. Thanks, sounds like what I need - will check it out.

Re: What's your prediction on the Australian Dollar? Probably because the indirect social and economic benefits are so difficult to quantify - I read a good article on the topic once, which clearly spelled out why trying would be a fruitless exercise. I can try to dig it up if you're...

    Ask The Pilot

Apart from it being established that the quote isn't from an ATSB report, I think people (myself included, on first read) may have missed the fact that the blue highlighted text says "airlineR", not "airline".

    CitiBusiness Gold 'no longer available'

Finally got my letter too - offered Platinum (not surprising - once I've maxed the CBG points each year I transfer all limit possible to Select, so only have $5k on CBG currently), new card arriving in September (which seems quite late compared to others)? Time to ring them and provide an ABN...

What's your prediction on the Australian Dollar?

Firstly, I apologise if the following has been comprehensively answered previously: I have had a look (albeit a fairly quick one), and have read a few opinions, but nothing I'd call comprehensive / concrete. I have a number of overseas trips coming up over the next 12 months - Europe x 1, Japan...

Neither. Hopefully a select few of us get to keep the card, no strings attached :-)

ATO (tax office) payments by credit card

The general understanding is that, yes, for personal tax you do need to have the CC in credit to claim the surcharge as a tax deduction. Make sure to weigh this deduction up against what else you could do with the money - in my case I'm better putting the CC in debit, not claiming the...
