Qantas Mall - Catch of the Day points declined, I'm seeing a pattern here.

The email is delayed. I received mine from a purchase on Saturday on Tuesday. However, if you logon to shopping.qantas.com and select 'shopping history' a history of your estore shopping may appear before the email. Sometimes a delay of a week or more can occur so don't be too concerned just...

Qantas Mall - Catch of the Day points declined, I'm seeing a pattern here.

None of what I suggested above Qantas or Velocity needs to specify in their mall store T&C or instructions. However, I just take extra precautions as I work in the technology sector and know things can go wrong.

Qantas Mall - Catch of the Day points declined, I'm seeing a pattern here.

This would be frustrating to miss out on points. Have you had issue with other Qantas mall stores in the past not crediting points? If you've done everything correctly as per the instructions and T&C's and still no points then more than likely there has been a glitch with the cookie tracking...

Qantas Mastercard Card Offers: how to unlink credit cards?

I noticed this the other day as well. I have a cancelled Master Card in the list I wanted to remove. I'm guessing you cannot remove unless you opt out. However, seems silly to have cancelled or expired cards there.

Qantas (online) Shopping points prompter add-on - it's good!

If you login to shopping.qantas.com and then navigate to 'Shopping History' there will be a list of purchases made through the online mall. Points credited into your account can take upto 4 months depending on the store. Qantas will give you a breif description of rouhgly how long some stores...

State border closures illegal under the highest law in the country?

The interesting thing about East Asia is their social cohesion. In the west we have so many different groups and ideologies these days that it's just exhausting to the point where I want the world to stop so I can get off. When you have good social cohesion is generally means the people will...

State border closures illegal under the highest law in the country?

I don't think many people in the developed world are wired for hardship, we've had it far too easy now for multiple generations. If heaven forbid a world war occurred and conditions were to degrade even worse than what we have now I'd hate to imagine what society would look like. Our brains have...

How long did Qantas take to process your refund for cancelled flights?

I've had to cancel 3 flights with Qantas. What occurs for me is points back after 6 weeks and money back (tax) at roughly 12 weeks.

State border closures illegal under the highest law in the country?

Maybe the federal government should cut Job Keeper and the increased Job Seeker to some of these states. The popularity of some premiers would fall very quickly once their residents realise how little the state government can support them financially. We're seeing European governments now...

    Qantas Points with Afterpay

Mine came through as well. My first purchase was a couple of weeks ago (after account being dormant for more than a year). I'm guessing they may have a set day each month when they credit the points.

Catch & Flybuys now are partners

I wonder if you'd still be eligible for the 20x points offer if the 10x points offer has already been used: https://www.catch.com.au/flybuys-catch Good to see another points earning potential with Catch. I was wondering why Flybuys wasn't on offer considering the Wesfarmers ownership. However...

How long did Qantas take to process your refund for cancelled flights?

Why do refunds take so long, I understand they have many refund at the moment. However, is there some sort of manual procedure involved here to refund or is there a certain amount a day they can only refund?

Predictions of when international flights may resume/bans lifted

And this is of benefit to me. Seems many Aussies don't like holidaying at home, so it leaves many beautiful areas untouched by hoards of tourists, which I like :D It is expensive to holiday around Australia, but it's expensive to holiday around any wealthy first world nation. I was in Japan...

Predictions of when international flights may resume/bans lifted

The WA Premier has had a very arrogant and ignorant approach to the crisis in the south east. I think it's starting to tick a few people off including myself. His approach has made him very popular over there, well for the moment. I find that the SA premier is a lot more helpful and...

Predictions of when international flights may resume/bans lifted

You would think the interstate borders would fully reopen by early next year. It entirely depends on how things go in Victoria and NSW. Otherwise look into visiting a provincial part of your state, that's what I plan to do in a couple of months time all being well. It's still better than sitting...

    Qantas Points with Afterpay

I received an email a couple of weeks back with an offer correction stating that I'm eligible for the 500 bonus points as I haven't made a purchase with Afterpay in the 12 months prior to the 8th of July. It appears to me that this is all a marketing push to have new customers and existing...

Virgin Australia to be sold to Bain Capital

International (apart from NZ) is out of the question for a long time. Hopefully, travel bubbles with the likes of Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan and Japan can occur sometime next year, if all those countries including Australia can eliminate the virus. I think VA2 really needs to concentrate on...

Predictions of when international flights may resume/bans lifted

Well I has roughly 15 weeks of leave in total (including long service leave) just as this pandemic started. I would've loved to use it to go overseas and travel around Australia. However, to help my company financially and to keep myself and others in a job I've been using my leave. I'm now down...

    Booking a flight with confidence?

I don't think we in Victoria will be allowed to QLD, SA, NT, WA and Tas for the rest of the year. Unless we pay for quarantine at our own expense. We could have a split country Where Vic and NSW have a suppression strategy whilst the rest continue on with elimination. The upside is Vic and NSW...

Virgin Australia to be sold to Bain Capital

It's going to be very difficult for airlines and the domestic tourism industry if Vic (6.4 million, Melb 5.08) and Sydney 5.3 million cannot visit other states. NSW and Vic make up roughly 60% of the national population. I hear people say letting Kiwis in will help, which is true. But their...
