This sounds about right, thanks for that. It might take a rehaul of Qantas call centres for this miracle to happen for me. You wait hours on hold for staff who aren't properly trained to understand or investigate a query of this nature.

Thank you for the advice, I think that's exactly the route we may have to go down. The stress and frustration is unbelievable, in this digital age it shouldn't be so difficult.

An update on this, ANZ are now saying that they attempted to recover funds but the recipient bank (Qantas bank account) refused so I should try to get evidence from Qantas that the payment wasn't received. Of course once I asked the Qantas call centre if there's a way to get confirmation that...

Thanks, but if they've already stated that they've concluded the dispute raised with no outcome can I still ask for a trace? is it one and the same? Tried to call through now to ask but got told to call within business hours

Thanks for that, I think I'll still have to complain in relation to ANZ though as I haven't reached out to Poli yet.

When I initially called ANZ I raised a dispute on the transaction which they've now finalised as closed with no further action to be taken but yes I think a trace would have been the right thing to ask for instead. What does a trace do? Lesson learned that I will never use anything but a credit...

Thanks, I will try this in reference to ANZ but Poli isn't even listed as an option to complain about. It's so bizarre, there isn't even a way to contact Poli as they refer you back to your bank.

Sadly I think the person you mean is me as I posted seperatly about it in the Qantas forum. I've had a search around but can't find any definitive information.

Paying for a Qantas flight with Poli, something glitched on the payment processing screen but seemed to go through ok, funds taken from my bank account, Qantas claims no funds received, my bank stated that Poli is not an authorised payment method from their perspective so chances of recovering...

sorry to hear about your experience, unfortunately I've gone through similar frustrations with this rubbish airline including a "lost" $2800 payment. I struggle to understand how incompetent/poorly trained the call centre staff are. If you received your itinerary/e-ticket I assume everything...

Just booked our first flight on United for August, SYD to SFO on the 777. Has anyone flown this or a similar route recently? Looking to understand what to expect. Reading some old reviews and it was said that the airline didn't provide enough food so I'll stock up on my snacks :)

is it normal for a refund to not include the (credit) card payment fee?

I tried to cancel online for a refund and the screen was showing me a refund amount less the credit card surcharge - is that normal? on hold on the phone now

Same here, 16th August. I haven't called yet and really want a direct flight as will be travelling with a baby. My booking has had so many issues already with hours on hold on the phone that I might take a full refund and book a direct on United...will Qantas give a full refund?
