Yes I would call them and request the upgrade to Gold. Pointing out to them you will be anyway with the flights you have booked in their system. They will check on them, then make their decision. This worked for me a couple of years ago.

Yes same thing happened for me 2 years ago. We were travelling PER SYD LAX J class, rang them requesting a extension of my Gold status rather than losing it before we flew. And came back a Platinium. Velocity are very accommodating.

Just one call. I advised them the guy who took my initial call, was adamant that there were NO offers of any Velocity points. I requested I wished to escalate a complaint and was given the Tel no. She sorted it out within 2 minutes.

Well all sorted now. Phew, I was getting a bit cross with the guy on the general number. But Complaints sorted it all out immediately and advised I was eligible and points will be processed. So will now wait and see if points arrive.

Yes, I got a response from VA on their Facebook page. They are still working on this and will advise accordingly.
