Virgin and Air Canada partnership tie up?

Hi VA, i am waiting on when the partnership tie up will come into effect between VA & AC. I need to book flights LAX - YVR to travel in a few months, the news release in December advised this partnership will come into effext esrly 2017..... how much longer to wait???

LAX-YVR is operated by Rouge (AC equivalent of JQ). You might as well book with DL...

Yes I am fully aware of who flys this route, quite a few airlines....my question to Virgin is they announced a partnership early December, comprising of codeshare flights over LAX to YVR from Australia on Air Canada, further details to be released in new year 2017. I assume there will be a VA flights no. attached to AC flights, only between LAX - YVR LAX - YYZ.

I am waiting for further details

Yes, at a quick glance it appears the Velocity Frequent Flyer company account hasn't posted in this subforum since May 2016 (and not since Nov 2015 before that).

The majority of their recent AFF activity is clustered in relation to specific announcements, with just over half of their 28 posts since May 2016 occurring on 4 days.

Topics will receive more discussion and comment in the main Virgin Australia Velocity forum rather than this subforum, and you should contact VA directly if you are seeking their official response.

No nothing at all. Suggest you ask Virgin on their Facebook page also, see what response you get now, its been a little while since i sent them a message.
