I’m liking the new marketing, it’s reminds me of VAs polished and slightly irreverent pedigree.

VA454 DRW-BNE Another great flight, and the lead attendant Kyle was a standout. Meal options were the curry and Truffle Mac. 2DF,1DF,2AC,1AC. Beverages and post meal snacks flowed freely, regularly offered something like a cup of tea etc.

Bne-adl VA1388 Crew fantastic, chose the French Toast and it was pretty good. Other option was the eggs/dukah which I’d had before. Also had yoghurt with berry coulis on the tray. PDB and multiple top ups were officered. Food orders taken in an unconventional 1DF, 2AC,2DF,1AC.

It was not the VA or bne teams issue, it’s people take so long in the one lane to remove stuff from bag, laptops and take off jackets. They had staff asking them to get ready along the queue but people too busy scrolling or not thinking about the pair of keys in their pocket etc.

Maybe they got BNE and MEL mixed up. As MEL was priority lane from the 10th, and it’s unlikely they have a premium entry solution. So that means BNE premium entry is open again from 22nd.

I wonder what the MEL premium entry looks like given where the lounge is.

The VA staff member said the hold up was with Sydney Airport, and VA was ready to go.

I had the Gnocchi last night, everyone else went for the Chicken. I was very happy with it.

I flew out of Sydney last night. Premium Entry is still not open due to Sydney Airport staffing. Security was a breeze, straight through. The lounge though was packed, standing room only.

The staff member I spoke with didn’t mention this. Either way, you’ll probably be starting your security queue experience nearby the premium entry!

Just gone through BNE premium entry. It’s been open the last two weeks on a trial. Two more weeks to the trial. The regular security queue was back to the premium entry doors after snaking through the baggage claim area. 🫣
