Oneworld Classic Flight Reward Discussion - The Definitive Thread

There is no QF piece policy that allows 30kg. It's either 23kg or 32kg. The 30kg non-Americas policy is a weight limit, there is no piece limit when it's weight based. The argument in this case is that the 1 piece at 32kg should've applied to the ICN-SYD given that's the Americas piece policy...

    Interline agreement

Who was the original LAX-SEA operator? AS or AA? Regardless of who it was, they should've opened up alternative flights for you. Ask AS at SFO or even at LAX T6 to confirm they can see you've got a bag coming + the tag number is visible to them.

Yes and they applied their policy as per my previous post. Due to the ticket involving the Americas, the piece allowance applies which is 1 piece as you cannot have a ticket involving a weight allowance.

Oneworld Classic Flight Reward Discussion - The Definitive Thread

See my previous post: The ultimate ticketed destination is MAD which is outside of USA/Canada therefore the US/Canada baggage rules do not apply. This means that each journey will potentially have a different baggage allowance as each journey is assessed for who the most significant marketing...

Oneworld Classic Flight Reward Discussion - The Definitive Thread

All tickets involving Americas travel irrespective of ultimate ticketed destination have the baggage allowance in pieces. That applies worldwide, to every carrier. That said, most if not all airlines spell that out poorly or not at all... QF do mention it but in vague form... Different...

Missing Credit Madness [Qantas refusing Credit for Travel on Partner/oneworld Airlines]

QF previously had full access to QR PNRs... they don't anymore. The change happened at Amadeus level.

MH Economy class fares and getting BA Tier Points

Send me the flights and dates. The lowest class you need to earn at BA is N class so it'll only be a mild hike compared to the lowest Q class you're seeing online.

    Interline agreement

Make sure AS can see your bag tag number in their PNR. Otherwise they may not onload it as it won't reconcile. As you've found it's becoming harder and harder to do separate ticket through checks on separate PNRs... for this reason it's better to have it all ticketed on one PNR to curb any issues.

Article: Great Value Round-the-World Tickets with Finnair & Lufthansa

If a pax asks for USA as the destination and mentions Finnair, a typical travel agent would probably ignore it since there's no Finnair Australia-USA fare via the Pacific. In relation to commission, NH pays no commission ex-Australia to USA anyway. AY would've actually paid a lot more. Not...

Jetstar flight (on British airways ticket) confusion

You will need to collect at Sydney domestic and make your own way to international and re-check in with BA.

Dom Upgrade Request - 2 pax on same PNR, booking made by Bronze, upgrade req by Platinum

If it's one booking with a bronze and a platinum, the upgrade request, as long as it's requested by the platinum, will be processed at platinum priority. The source of the points for the redemption is irrelevant.

    Adding stopovers in Expertflyer?

For SIN (QF-QF and SQ-SQ) and DXB (EK-EK) you'll get incorrect inventory doing this, as segments within 72 hours at SIN/DXB will marry and therefore married segment inventory is how a SIN stopover should be looked at. Unfortunately EF is not capable of handling this scenario correctly.

Does Requesting Upgrade on a Second Leg Reset the Request Date?

    1. No. The requests are independent of each other. The date of request is only used as a tie breaker within the class you've booked so the majority of the time it's not even looked at. Someone booked in a higher class than you, of equal status, will have higher priority to clear. Eg. someone...
