and if AA J is palatable you "may" see some Feb availability searching say SYD-SEA or SYD-PHX, which takes you thru LAX.....if you're willing to ditch that second leg LAX-??? (HLO or collect and keep bags LAX, I think you need to collect at LAX anyway)

AA had quite a bit of J and F (multiple seats) recently through to end of Jan, from 1 day-3 weeks departure, so keep an eye on it. QF not so much

The connection was actually originally 70min, but we sat on the tarmac at CDG for 30min, so ended up with 40min at HEL and did it in 20.....
