Wow the BKK QF lounge must have gone downhill since I was there in Sept 2013 - was quite good I thought. Nice furniture, comfortable, good food and good wine. Going back to BKK in October 2014 (hopefully will be a bit more peaceful then) so looking forward to using the lounge there on the way...

Sydney Airport is just as bad - have had a ham and cheese croissant and an orange juice at a café near the escalators up to the QF lounge before - $12 or so. Food at every airport is very expensive.

I just flew QF24 from BKK to SYD today in whY (J cabin was full so no points upgrade), and the breakfast in whY is quite disappointing now too - was a warm muffin (same as served sometimes on domestic Y snack services), small tub of yoghurt, orange juice (in a small plastic cup with foil lid)...

Pullman London St Pancras was amazing when I stayed there in May. Really solid 4.5 star hotel - 5 minute walk to Kings Cross tube station - very recently refurbished rooms, excellent buffet breakfast and genuine service. Slightly off topic... but I recall reading a while ago that refubs of the A330s are planned... has anyone heard if these would include PE? I really miss PE on the BKK-SYD flights when QF stopped the 747 on the route....
