Nope, I couldn't justify the benefits. The points earn is tepid and the status perks are water to me. Then again this was before the devaluation was announced. I may have joined if I knew that was coming...

As a Chinese person that regularly visits for LNY, it's sad to see that you won't be allowed to set off fireworks in major urban centres any more. I mean fair enough. We're talking full-scale fireworks. Bought and set off by regular citizens. In majorly-populated areas.

Caught ~15 flights with VA last year (all domestic), and PB was properly enforced on all of them. 15/15 = nubad.

Even CX's new A350's J made my EWR->HKG (a whole 10min longer @ 16hrs!) flight extremely comfortable. 'Twas also the only time I recall I managed to get a full solid 9hrs of sleep. Amazing.
