The reduced earn on SC for flown Parter Airline segments kicks in for flights flown from October 1st, irrespectiven of when purchased. Partner SC earn remains distance zone based.

Note that for bookings on VA flights made from April 2nd, SC earn is at 1 per $12 paid maximum. I did 320 SC and for segments last week and the web site states I only have 480 and 4 segments to requalify WP. I expect these targets to change come October.

Anecdotal experience is in line with the terms; a Qantas Marketed and operated flight taken within the offer travel period will be eligible for DSC.* So the former should earn DSC, the latter not. *Assumes the member properly registered and booked.in line with the promotion terms.

The problem was, at least in the early days of DSC promotions, that most bookings made before midnight UTC on the day the promotion was advertised in Australia did not automatically credit and sometimes painful follow-up with Qantas customer service was required.
