It is a habit I have. I will generally use functionality though a web browser rather than an app where I can. This is simply because I generally have more visibility and control of what happens with a web interface over most apps. In this case, since there appears to be no downside in using the web interface to register, I will.

Taking a look at the AFF Post on the best $/SC routes... seems like all the flights from Perth has increased significantly compared to the October DSC period .

I will have to keep an eye out on any cheaper fares that comes out and change it at a later date.

Can someone confirm that when going from Econ Flexi - it is possible to upgrade to Business Saver with the credit as its going up a fare bucket? Or does it have to be Business or Business Flexi?

A PC status run out of MEL thanks to a little quirk of another airline's award program (who may be having a miles sale atm).

Make sure you book for a guest so you can change the FF number to your Qantas one. Otherwise, it gets locked to the other airline's program.

Ok I can't help myself so let's get ahead of that then:

When's the next DSC Promo? = It hasn't been announced yet but expected shortly.
Will I earn DSC on Alliance? = Yes all QantasLink services including operated by Alliance, National Jet Systems, Network Aviation, Eastern Australia Airlines and Sunstate Airlines are eligible.
Where did all the sale fares go? = Sales and DSC/DP promos don't typically occur at the same time.
Has anyone's DSC posted yet? = DSC's typically take a few days after the flight to post however on the first flight of your DSC promos this can take longer up to several weeks.
Does a QF flight number on EK metal count? = Nope (nor do any other QF flights not operated by Qantas or QantasLink airlines see list above).
Don't talk about Fight Club. = Don't know what you're on about .
Come on! I just booked J flights to XYZ :-( = If booked within 24 hours and departing from AU then you might be eligible for free cancellation otherwise too bad, you're subject to full cancellation if you wish to cancel and rebook (a change doesn't count).
Will I earn DSC for flights I booked 3 months ago? = Nope.
Does this mean there won't be another DSC promo in [month]? = Qantas decide and announce the DSC promos and never give any early indication, there is some consistent patterns with one at the start of most years but as with most things in life, nothing is guaranteed.


I want to add some more based on this thread:
Non 081 QF ticket stock? = DSC still applies if QF flight number and operated.
Award tickets with Points Club? = Yes eligible for DSC if booked during the time frame.
I have a flight credit is this eligible? = No a new PNR needs to be created and as flight credits are an existing PNR they are not eligible.
Do Qantas flight operated by Finnair count? = Yes as they are a wet lease they do count for this promo.
Do Jetstar flight count? = Nope.
Can I book via a travel agent or Amex? = Yes, they count.

I keep reading the T&C but can't find an answer. Hope someone can help.
If I book today a couple of DSC for within the travelling period, but then need to change them later (for this within the travelling period):
1. Will I still earn DSC? I think yes
2. Am I better leave them them until the travelling dates or change them to a credit asap? Unsure?

@madrooster Are QF flights originating overseas eligible? i.e. it looks cheaper to book AU-NZ separately to NZ-Aus as Qantas seem to always give the kiwis a discount and the AUD is stronger than the NZD.

I think I can get to LTG this year with this offer. I just booked HND-SYD in August (the QF26 daytime return leg) and plan to book a couple of J trips to NZ, then perhaps one to India at some point in Q4 (with award availability OK on that route).
