Not forgetting that if you book in advance you can get and do often, Heathrow express to Paddington in relative comfort for as little as Five pounds! Amazing really.

I agree. Never been to Bali before and certainly did consider ex PER via SIN but in truth from PER flight can be done in not much over 3 hours and with the Jetstar max price still only around 600 dollars return kind of reckon it's worth a pop. It will.be first time on Jetstar also!! 🤭

AY ex BKK tends to be the way to go. Just allow yourself good connection times at BKK and find a cheap tickets to BKK!!

Yes certainly the SQ earnings are going to be woeful. The positive side I guess if there is any that the lite of standard Y fares on SQ ex Australia and via SIN for some Asian destinations are really very good. I can hardly believe that PER to SGN or HKG or BKK can be under 800 dollars return...

I think lounge access is actually included at least at PER. One choice of wine (so I have been told..red) and beer. Nah don't think Batik is the answer ..🤭😁..nor really their safety ...

Interesting conversation. However I think the "load" and "filling the plane" is a red herring. It's the yield that counts. Many flights throughout the world can be filled then pulled because the yield makes it not viable. Price and frequency is important but underselling to be viable is a no no.
