I can't stand the JAL site, I have no idea how to get anything that doesn't go into/out of Japan and when I do the prices seem way higher than booking the two legs seperately. I'm looking at going either anywhere in Europe (Pref from the UK or Germany but not fussed) to Kuala Lumpur or Sydney...

We had a stoppover in KL on our way to London for a few days, the money you save on the flight to Malaysia you can spend on a very nice 5 Star hotel or huge 4-4.5 Star room/apartment. Traders hotel goes well ;)

Ive got the Sony in ear noise cancelling headphones, while the design is good at blocking some noice the active noice cancelling is great. I try to never fly without them. I always carry a spare triple a battery too, just in case. Ive had them for nearly two years now and havent had a problem...
