It is the QF30 that's impacted - now estimated to depart at 06.35 tomorrow morning (19 December).

QF29 is only running 40 minutes late, which I consider as on-time by QF standards. :D

QF43 is now further delayed to 22.30, resulting in QF44 now departing DPS at an ungodly hour of 03.20 for a noon arrival into SYD tomorrow.

Looks like EBB has fallen ill in SYD after ferrying over from MEL resulting in the 24h delay for QF41. There is also a 5-hour delay on the QF29 today resulting in a 1am departure for QF128 back to SYD from HKG tonight.

That's a roll-on effect from the arrival delay on QF64 today.

At those prices, one might as well ring up and ask what the fare difference is to upfare the outbound segments (i.e. BNE-SIN-SGN) to Business class as I think the difference might well be in that range anyway and you get the full serve of miles. :)

Indeed, Y still has the original seats from 2008 together with the eX2-era screens, which I believe are 720p ones. If they want to use the A380s into the 2030s, they may start to run into issues with spare parts as these screens are now pushing 20 years old.

We have been advised they need to tow the aircraft away from the terminal to do an engine run before the engineers can make an assessment and sign off, although there was an assurance from them that the engineers are fairly confident whatever the original issue was has been fixed.
