Once per stay the FHR credit or special benefit applies. Bookings must be 24 hours apart to receive a new benefit. So you can't check out and then check back in - the benefit won't apply. You need a night away from the hotel to re-trigger the benefit.

Same, Platinum status returns significant value and the biggest must keep for me. Accor Plus is great too and don't want it to go. Hilton - well, stayed in 1 Hilton in the last 5 years and it was a horrid experience so Hilton gold has zero value to me.
