Isn't it 6 months? I had last one in July last year and I'm getting one next week but I'm immunocompromised.

Yes Covid boosters are still free. I'm currently on antibiotics for cellulitis infection but as soon as I'm off antibiotics I will go and have Booster #6 + flu vaccine on same day from medical centre.

Not cool: United keeps raising partner award costs without notice

I think I have 19,500 UA miles sitting there gathering dust for at least 5-6 years. They've been pretty much useless for a family of 3 and not really worth collecting any more miles.

Back in hospital again. If I understand correctly the Piptaz wife had in hospital + Fosfomycin would be equivalent to a week's treatment but that does not appear to have killed the e.coli bacteria. Back on Piptaz again for 24 hours then review. There's one antibiotic left they can try as a...

    Australian Citizenship interview

Thanks. People totally misunderstand me. I don't explain things properly. I know my wife. She's not interested in Australian politics. She cannot read English and she follows Thai news daily. A couple of years ago she actually wanted to go back to Thailand just to vote. So fast forward to her...

    Australian Citizenship interview

Thanks. Oh she was studying a lot. The difference this time was wife used the headphones provided to listen to questions as well as trying to read. I'm proud of her and she now knows some things I don't. I don't think ceremony will be quick. We'll apply for resident return visa as we have 3...

    What cheeses me off

Here's one some of you will defend until you're black and blue in face. Wife in hospital with severe UTI/pyelonephritis. Blood pressure in low 80's. Is on constant saline drip but doctor has advised to drink water too to get blood pressure back up. Wife thirsty at 4:30am and presses call bell...

Yes they did and apparently everything was clear including blood cultures. I can't confirm anything because we don't have discharge papers.

@drron the good politicians are few and far between. If you're ever in Sydney drive up or down Canterbury Road and look at the mess that's been created with every single warehouse or factory now a 4-6 story apartment block. Canterbury Road is an old road that is very narrow and the traffic...

I've not sure I can tell the difference but I've had cellulitis 3 times in 18 months and this 4th episode was an easy diagnosis and I caught it extremely early. I'd assume with necrotising fasciitis I'd have blisters, high fever, the whole body sore etc. I think you're misunderstanding my...

No they're not. The hospital gave mother in law prescription for antibiotics and we filled that script at a recognised pharmac_ and I also bought antibiotics to bring back. They don't give different antibiotics for a script or without script. You guys can do what you believe is right. I want...

No. How do you discharge someone without discharge papers? If I went to GP now I can't say what occurred in hospital except for Piptaz. They were doing blood tests each morning from both arms. Urine may well be body temperature but body temperature in this case is a sign of infection and pain...

Urine warm when coming out. This same as last week. When not sick that feeling is not there. Fever gone now with 2 panadol and will assess again through the night if fever returns.

I want to cry. Wife released from hospital on Monday evening after 5 days in hospital and 3 days of piptaz for UTI/pyelomelitis. No discharge papers. Infectious diseases team did not prescribe any follow up antibiotics. Wife mentioned yesterday she's not feeling well. This morning complaining...

    Australian Citizenship interview

I liked your post but could not disagree more. If you keep voting year after year and you see the same sort of junk recycled over and over there comes a time when enough is enough. I'm not interested in stroking egos. I'm not interested in broken promises. I do not believe the next candidate is...

Compensation for a bad nights sleep

Interesting comments. My daughter wakes me by moving around multiple times/night. Assess and fall asleep. My wife on the other hand has issues going back to sleep again. If anything it has been other guests that may have woken us in middle of the night. Not much you can do if you don't know...

Do you leave a tip for hotel housekeeping?

I'm not sure I understand. Thailand does not have a tipping culture. If you dine out where locals dine they don't leave tips, if they do it might be a few small coins. In USA? I don't care if workers are not paid enough. It's not for me to supplement their salaries. They need to start a union...

    Australian Citizenship interview

Wife had 2nd interview today and got 65% on first attempt and 80% on 2nd attempt and has passed citizenship test. Yay. Now need to wait for citizenship ceremony letter and ceremony is likely to be 4 weeks after letter. We're going to Thailand in 6 weeks which means we'll need to apply for one...
