    Strategy to obtain US Amex

Make sure the out part is done via the app though, HSBC are bloody awful in implementing fast payments, so doing it via OLB send it the old, slow way.

Up to 35,000 Velocity points for switching to AGL Energy

Same for gas, elec transferred within days. This, every time I switch gas takes weeks, electricity days. In fact my last switch to Origin Woolies Rewards plan, they never bothered switching the gas, despite it being in the order, and had the cheek to offer me 5k ED Rewards points to switch gas...

    Strategy to obtain US Amex

They do, in fact any non-Aussie card, Amex or otherwise, pays out as a normal purchase on Aussie government spend (my experience is Amex US and Amex/Visa/MC UK, variety of points and cashback).

    Strategy to obtain US Amex

I've had to wait 10 days each time, seems to be more common than not, but if you can avoid it then doesn't hurt to ask, worst that'll happen is they'll say call back after 10 days.

Up to 35,000 Velocity points for switching to AGL Energy

Thanks - makes sense. We've lived in our place long enough that's not an issue, but I'll def bear that in mind as it looks like I'll be moving back to Red sooner than I thought!

Up to 35,000 Velocity points for switching to AGL Energy

That's good to know, thanks! Interesting, I assume that would potentially be an issue if you moved and the previous customer was also doing the same (unlikely as that may be)? But prevents householders simply swapping between partners every six months (unless they also link the name, must admit...

Red energy has a 12 month waiting period.

Rates are a win for me, I’ve joined and it confirmed both the VA points and $150 bill credit, great offer (Vic here).

    Qantas Red Planet

Does anyone else constantly get surveys about drinking habits? As in alcohol? I do regularly, depending on when I answer them depends on the outcome. I got one today, and screened out because I hadn't drank alcohol on Monday or Tuesday (it always asks for the last two days)! Usually I "have"...

    Qantas Red Planet

Don't worry, I got the same and I do drive, just had to answer a bunch of questions first before being screened out 😂 So when my OH got it, I just said select don't drive, wouldn't take a road trip in NSW, screened out straight away, nice and easy haha.

    Strategy to obtain US Amex

I have to keep a list of them to tell me which is for which account when it comes to Amex! Not a list of the passwords (hopefully obviously haha) though, but I couldn't remember them without Apple's password manager.

    Strategy to obtain US Amex

I think they will, it's been around for as long as I can remember, although a lot of CSA's are a bit confused about what you're asking for sometimes. I most recently moved a couple of hundred thou from UK-US and the exchange rate is depressing, but 1:1 on both means it's still a win (UK is 3:2...

    Strategy to obtain US Amex

No worries, and good call pointing that out, it's easy to end up with things getting shut down because people do things like calling up the company in question and asking outright, or it just gets so heavily abused it can no longer be overlooked.

    Strategy to obtain US Amex

How does one go about getting the Amex US Biz cards? Do they require a registered US business? Everyone in the US seems to go on about them (and with good reason!) but I'd always assumed they had some sort of registered business/loophole that made them eligible. Australia's business cards...

    Strategy to obtain US Amex

Yes - in fact you can use the US cards to pay most of the Aussie bills which have exclusions over here (like Government payments, certain utilities, car rego, ATO, etc.) and they're treated like any normal purchase.

Not sure about NZ, but the app (T-Mobile Prepaid eSIM, by the developer T-Mobile US) is available on the AU App Store. Apple is annoying like that, this one is ok, but other apps I've had to create new country based Apple IDs for the purpose of this (you can switch your existing one around...

    Strategy to obtain US Amex

I typed up for a few friends in a Discord I'm part of, I was going to drop it here but am in two minds about posting this, not because I don't want to help others, but more because this is an open forum and posting easy routes to things tends to get them killed, happy to DM it though (on the...

    Strategy to obtain US Amex

Re the T-Mobile SIM and US iTunes account, you don't need to do that from the US. Also if it's just an Amex you want, you don't need tos et foot in the US, so if it's just that you're planning to do, I wouldn't waste your time. For a bank account use Transferwise (I just can't get my head around...

BA has triggered it, I haven't tried the LCCs, but don't see why they wouldn't - anything that codes as airline?
