It’s almost certainly a psychological thing, but I find jeans or chinos far more comfortable than shorts. I also tend to get a little cool on flights if I’m wearing shorts.

It should be automatically transferred to your personal account once you activate the debit card, unsure what would happen if you tried to manually transfer it out but I probably wouldn't try it.
