Background to this thread
We have noticed an increase in the posting of questions regarding what Airport Lounges are available at specific airports when travelling on specific airlines. While one can be assured of access at the airline lounge when travelling on that airline (provided you have Lounge membership), thing start to get complex when travelling on a codeshare or partner airline.

Posting Guidelines
Please post your questions about Lounge access in this thread. Be sure to include the airline you are travelling on, the airport (and terminal, if known), and any Airline Status or Airport Lounge membership programs you have.

When answering questions, please include the original question. This will assist in readability and management of the thread.

(Special thanks to Princess Fiona for suggesting this new thread.)

If I fly MEL-SYD in Qantas economy followed by SYD-CHC in Emirates business, on the same booking, can I access the domestic Qantas Business Lounge (or Qantas Club) in MEL? (I have no Qantas status).
No you can’t. You will have access to the EK and QF Lounges at SYD.

I wasn't aware such access existed. (Not that such class of service based access has been something I have needed to consider.)
Yes! It did… used it many times where departure ex SYD was in business or first but the connecting flight to SYD from MEL was in economy.

The rules gave lounge access ‘when connecting to or from an international Qantas or Emirates flight’ (in business or first class).

Hi all, can't quite work this out if anyone knows, but if I book an AKL-SYD-AKL in J 'priority' with LATAM what lounges do I have please? I can't work out which lounges they are using at AKL. From the link below possibly they are using the QP at T1, not sure about that either. Unsure if my OW Emerald via Qatar status match will help. Certainly VA SG won't and I've got Nuthin' with QF. Thanks!

Can now answer my own question re Cathay lounges at CDG - can only access Extime lounge (in terminal 1)

Is CX operating out of T1 at the mo? If flying J you could in theory go to QR (if it’s open). They have 3x flights a day.

Yes. In and out of T1. Asked about QR but given entry ticket to Extime. Interestingly QR and Star are both before customs.

I arrive in KUL at approx 1800 and have got a 12 hour reservation at the KLIA Sama Sama Express. I leave KUL at approx 0930 the following day.

I have got lounge access via my Amex. Will I be able to access a lounge when I land in the evening or will they only grant access in the morning?

Thanks
I was granted lounge accesss in KUL airport at both Plaza Premium and Sama Sama Express in the evening when I landed. I used my Priority Pass. I was also able to use the Sama Sama Express lounge in the morning prior to departure. Route was LHR-KUL-MEL return. We stayed overnight in the Sama Sama Express Hotel at Gate C5.

Travelling Etihad:

3. Am I right in thinking I'll only have access to the ex-Etihad-now-Swissport lounge at SYD? It looks pretty good but just want to make sure I'm not missing a trick. I'm VA Gold if that helps at all.

Hi, travelling from Melbourne to Singapore in June and have a Free Dragonpass membership so just need to buy a pass for the visit, Which lounge is the best one, a lot of reviews are old so asking on here. Edit, asking about Melbourne lounges.

There are 3 lounges you have access to with the DragonPass:
  • Plaza Premium
  • The House (Etihad)
  • Marhaba Lounge
All of these lounges are located in the international terminal (Terminal 2) of Melbourne. I have personally been to The House and Marhaba Lounge (but not Plaza Premium). Of the two I have visited I would say that the Marhaba lounge is the better lounge as it has a more comprehensive buffet spread and better views of the tarmac:

By contrast here's the House (Etihad) lounge:

As per topic - heading over to Tokyo in October and was fortunate enough to jag a business classic rewards seat for the journey over, however the flight back leaves pretty late at night (to MEL) and I only managed to get a Y classic reward. I've put in an upgrade request but figure pigs will sooner fly.

Just wondering if there is any way to gain access to a/the lounge in Haneda?
It seems my guest passes won't work in Haneda and some quick googling doesn't suggest much else.

Long shot I know but worth asking!

Do you have any credit cards that come with Priority Pass?

There are paid lounges in HND from Terminal 3 (where QF departs from). While I haven't been to these personally, I've seen less than stellar reviews.

Alternatively, you can sign up for Qantas Club to gain access to the JAL Sakura lounge in HND prior to your QF flight. As you said, unfortunately the single-use passes won't work here since it's a partner lounge. FWIW, this lounge was terrible when I visited before my QF flight last month. Shower queue was ridiculous, and the made-to-order food (they removed the hot buffet due to COVID) wasn't ready until after I boarded.

Hi, we are flying Business on Virgin MEL-NAN soon. Wondering if there is any change to lounge access in Melbourne T2 for Virgin?
If not is there any paid access to the lounges that might be worth the money, or just give it a miss.
Thank you.

Can anyone help to clarify please what lounge access options are open to a WP flying QF# on QF metal departing Incheon? I can’t seem to find a clear answer to this as Qantas, One World and other sources seem to conflict/contradict one another. Last time I flew out of Incheon, it was a pretty poor generic lounge offering opposite the gate… hoping something a little nicer is available for WPs these days (though I suspect it isn’t).

Cheers!

According to the OW lounge finder it looks like the KAL Lounge. The Qantas website lists the same KAL lounge.
