Hi As per the topic heading, has anyone had any experience using the Dragonpass Lounges at Kuala Lumpur airport? If so, i'm open to recommendations! Thanks

    Hotel hold or pre-authorisation

Thanks for this. Is this something you have to tell them at the start (that you want to pay the bill with a different card later)? Or will you generally get the choice upon check-out?

    Hotel hold or pre-authorisation

I generally just transfer relatively small amounts of money to the account linked to the debit card (and replenish as the funds are spent), but haven't noticed the effect of any holds in terms of purchases being declined. Maybe I was just lucky that the hotel in question only put a hold on for...

    Hotel hold or pre-authorisation

Generally when I've travelled recently, I've used a debit card that doesn't have foreign transaction fees for my expenses. This includes when I'm asked by a hotel to provide a card when checking-in (I thought this was just to cover incidentals, but have been told by others that they actually put...

    2024 Paris Olympics

Who were the Channel 9 commentators? I recognised Todd Woodbridge, was one of the others Karl Stefanovic?

    2024 Paris Olympics

Watching the opening ceremony I did have a feeling it would be cool to be involved in some way in an Olympics one time.

Out of the Australian banks, is there a particular one that is known for providing good rates on FX bank transfers?

    Favourite airline on-board freebie?

Not sure if it's as much of a thing these days, but do people still keep some of the freebies that airlines offer on board? I used to love the playing cards.

Any word on the split of events between 9 (and its streaming product) and Stan? Presumably Stan will some exclusive stuff to attract subscribers?

    2024 Paris Olympics

The Paris Olympics start this week, with the opening ceremony on Friday 26 July. Anyone looking forward to it and if so, which competitions will you be looking to follow? Is anyone going to the Games?

Bendigo Ready ($0 p.a. 0% foreign fees, includes travel insurance)

it is an option but not a preferred one as you're not getting the interest-free days / you're paying in advance. i had initially thought $3k was sufficient but overseas transactions but have been reminded that hotel holds might reduce the available limit materially.

Bendigo Ready ($0 p.a. 0% foreign fees, includes travel insurance)

I recently (this month) had got this card with a $3k limit but am thinking it is too low. Does anyone know if getting a small limit increase (say to $4-5k) is a relatively easy process at Bendigo?

Article: Credit Cards Moving to Monthly Fees

Interesting development. Usually with these changes it is clear who wins/loses but is it less clear in this case? In theory, card providers would benefit from: - less cancellations by those who are put-off by having a large fee in one month; - more transaction revenue if the fee waivers end up...
