Congrats on the first class seats! I had similar experiences recently. Tried on numerous occasions to get seats released SIN- PER. All to be rejected. First time I tried in a date outside school holidays got two business class released 😊

Am I right in understanding the Qantas club flexible membership allows access to international business lounges? This would make it a pretty decent option for solo travellers doing a return trip from Aus to Europe (or transiting through Singapore). Would also make those lounges even busier.
