September 2012 - Compiled Lounge Details

Anyone available to guest my sister into SYD Dom QC Tues 19 September 18:00. Returning from SCL with partner and sister, and can only guest 1. Alternatively, would anyone have an expiring QC pass they would like to part with? Thanks in advance

6th September, 18:00 Sydney International T1, 1 guest access needed if at all possible!

Hi everyone. My wife and I and two infants are travelling to Honolulu out of Sydney International T1, at 18:00, September 6th.
We have one complimentary guest pass but think it's unlikely we'd get both of us in on that, and wonder if anyone could help out.
Terrified of the long flight with children and would love to be able to settle them in a peaceful environment before hopping on the plane.
If anyone is heading into the lounge and is able to admit one of us as their guest it would be really wonderful.
Thank you!

(Wow, it's amazing how generous people are with their time, especially when flights etc are involved. I'm impressed!)

Can someone please point me to a post that outlines the etiquette (and rules) for these lounge guesting threads? Ie how long should you be a member before requesting a guesting into a lounge? Do you have to be on the same flight / same airline to guest someone? If you guest someone (or are guested) is it generally expected that you sit and speak with that person' or is it preferred that you go your own way? Thanks!

04/09/12 TSV QP 13:00 - 14:15 Guest spot taken.
12/09/12 CNS QP 11:45 - 13:10 Guest spot taken.

I'm not sure there is any formal rules. Common curtesy applies IMO. Final agreement would come do to the person doing the guesting - request but don't expect. Being on the same flight depends on lounge entry requirements - domestic qantas there is no same flight rule but there is on qantas international. Once you're in the lounge it comes down to mutual agreement and the situation. I once guested one member of a group, besides small talk introductions I left them alone. At another time I had a good chat to the person.

I presume by HRW you mean LHR (London Heathrow)? I am still trying to book my flights but will probably end up missing you by a day!

Yes will get all the codes right eventually.

I'm flying Cathay's new PE on the longer legs so will be good to see how it compares with QF's. Like QF, CX's PE doesn't come with lounge access, so if anyone is around at the above times and happy to guest me in I'd be very grateful! Cheers, TW
